Why is the “Christian” day of rest, on the 8th day?

Why is the “Christian” day of rest, the 8th day?

Why did Constantine, in 321 A.D. establish the “day of the sun” (Sunday), as the day of rest, in honor of his sun god, Sol Invictus, when God’s Sabbath, the day of rest was on the 7th day? The 7th day still relates to its conjunction with the millennium, when there will be a “covenant of peace” with the combined sticks of “Judah” and “Israel” (Ezekiel 37), on the land that God gave to Jacob?

Could it be that the 8th day (Leviticus 23:36), the first day of the next week, represents the rest which the followers of the Roman church of Constantine, and his sun god, the dragon (Rev 13:4), established in 325 A.D. , will enter into their rest, the 2nd death?

Constantine's law of…321 [C.E] uniting Christians and pagans in the observance of the "venerable day of the sun" It is to be noted that this official solar worship, the final form of paganism in the empire…, was not the traditional Roman-Greek religion of Jupiter, Apollo, Venus, and the other Olympian deities. It was a product of the mingling Hellenistic-Oriental elements, exemplified in Aurelian's establishment of Eastern Sun worship at Rome as the official religion of the empire, and in his new temple enshrining Syrian statutes statues of Bel and the sun…. Thus at last Bel, the god of Babylon, came into the official imperial temple of Rome, the center of the imperial religion. It was this late Roman-Oriental worship of one supreme god, symbolized by the sun and absorbing lesser divinities as subordinates or manifestations of the universal deity, that competed with young Christianity. This was the Roman religion that went down in defeat but infiltrated and colored the victorious church with its own elements, some of which can be seen to this day. (Cramer 4)

On March 7, 321, Sunday was declared the official day of rest, on which markets were banned and public offices were closed,[ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constantine_the_Great_and_Christianity

Seriously, enough with this Constantine ****.[/QUOTE]

I can understand why a "Noahide" would be in the dark with respect to the "beast with two horns like a lamb", and the Commandments of God, but seriously, enough with this Noahide ****. You are hiding behind Casper the Ghost. But never fear, the day of reckoning is just behind door number 33

There isn't a day of rest for Christians. That's an Orthodox hold over from the OT.

Days aren't holy nor spiritual.

I just have a simple questions: Whats the difference between the two days?

When god rested, why is it the 7th and not the 10th given god can make the week as long as he wants?

Was man inspired by god to make 7 days of the week and not ten?

Ten isnt impossible for god unless his ability to count days relies on man who made up the idea of the calendar?

Why is the day of rest debated when the point was,he rested? Does it change your relationship with god based on the days?

First-century Christianity ended with the end of the first century. In other words, I find what happened after the Scriptures were completed are the man-made traditions or customs just taught as being Scripture.
Once the apostles fell asleep in death an apostasy settled in as per Acts of the Apostles 20:29-30.
The genuine ' wheat ' Christians would be growing together with the fake ' weed/tares ' Christians until the harvest time. As we know a harvest comes at the end of a growing season and Not sooner.
So, the soon coming ' time of separation ' of Matthew 25:31-33,37,40 is connected to that illustrative harvest time or to our day or time frame.

Jesus as being 'Lord of the Sabbath' brought an end to the temporary Constitution of the Mosaic Law as per Romans 10:4.
So, since Christ, Sabbath keeping is Not a Christian requirement - Colossians 2:16.

Well, quite plainly to unite the Roman pagans and Christians. Because apparently people used to be able to live together.
Do you worship the sun on Sunday?

If I may take the liberty to add ' so-called Christians ' to the ^ above ^ because as gospel writer Luke wrote at Acts of the Apostles 20:29-30 an apostasy would set in after the apostles would be gone off the first-century scene.
False shepherds dressed in sheep's clothing would be fleecing the flock of God for their selfish motives.
There is No set worship day for Christians, but an everyday life style - John 4:23-24; Colossians 2:16

Depending on the testimony of the false prophet Paul may not hold up when the Wrath of God visits the earth (Revelation 14:9-10). Paul was simply one of the horns of the "beast with two horns like a lamb". Following that beast puts a mark on his followers, and results in a negative result as stated in (Revelation 14:9-10).

God rested from ' further creative works '. In other words, God stopped his physical creative works during His figurative rest day. A day which was still on-going in the first century according to Hebrews 4:4-11.

As to 'why God chose a 7-day week' is a question that can be answered when Jesus' begins his coming 1,000-year governmental rule over Earth.

The ^ above ^ words makes me wonder if you think gospel writer Luke was also a false prophet ________
In the 15th chapter of Acts of the Apostles Luke writes about God's servant Paul.
Paul wrote at Romans 10:12 that in showing honor to others to take the lead.
When the circumcision issue was Not settled I find it interesting how Paul handled it at Acts of the Apostles 15:22-31.
With humility and modesty Paul went along with the arrangements of the governing brothers in Jerusalem.
They (Not Paul) reached a decision and ' they ' chose to assign Paul to be one of their messengers.
Notice they referred to God's servant Paul as their beloved brother at Acts of the Apostles 15:25.

Paul's supposed associate Luke, supposedly wrote Acts, not the apostles, and according to Luke 1:1-3, witnessed nothing, and therefore cannot establish any matter (Matthew 18:16). Regardless, Acts 20:29-30, appears to have the foremost of the ravenous wolves (Mt 7:15), Paul, doing the talking. According to Yeshua in Matthew 26:31, quoting from Zechariah 13:7, the sheep were scattered (falling away) when Peter denied knowing Yeshua, not after they all died. John is supposedly still "remains" (John 21:25). John is quoted as saying there had been many antichrist before, now, and later. And Yeshua foretold there would be "false prophets" dressing a sheep, which was common during the reign of the now dead apostles.

You are going to have to take a moment to explain why the first day of the week is the eight day of the week....

It was simply a sign between the God and his people Israel. The Sunday observance is the sign between the "dragon", the sun god, and his followers. A bad sign to have (Revelation 14:8-9).

New American Standard Bible Exodus 31:17
"It is a sign between Me and the sons of Israel forever; for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day He ceased from labor, and was refreshed."
