Do you know God?

Jesus only teaches the will of his Father( John 5:30)--- pure truth. Mortals twist it into oblivion. Have become a mass of confusion( 34,000 religions claiming to be Christian) --- One is. 1Cor 1:10= a true mark--no division---what cant they seem to understand about that fact?
You said "One is." Which religion is Christian and how do you know which one it is?

1 Corinthians 1:10 “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.”

That is the ideal, but how do you think that was ever possible to achieve? How could it ever be achieved now, given Christianity is so divided?

The Spirit has spoken to the Churches.
Indeed it has:

“O CONCOURSE of Christians! We have, on a previous occasion, revealed Ourself unto you, and ye recognized Me not. This is yet another occasion vouchsafed unto you. This is the Day of God; turn ye unto Him… The Beloved Oneloveth not that ye be consumed with the fire of your desires. Were ye to be shut out as by a veil from Him, this would be for no other reason than your own waywardness and ignorance. Ye make mention of Me, and know Me not. Ye call upon Me, and are heedless of My Revelation…. O people of the Gospel! They who were not in the Kingdom have now entered it, whilst We behold you, in this day, tarrying at the gate. Rend the veils asunder by the power of your Lord, the Almighty, the All-Bounteous, and enter, then, in My name My Kingdom. Thus biddeth you He Who desireth for you everlasting life… We behold you, O children of the Kingdom, in darkness. This, verily, beseemeth you not. Are ye, in the face of the Light, fearful because of your deeds? Direct yourselves towards Him… Verily, He (Jesus) said: ‘Come ye after Me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.’ In this day, however, We say: ‘Come ye after Me, that We may make you to become quickeners of mankind.’”

Christ did say we have to accept His New Name.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.

Revelation 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.

... in the same sense that any other Christian denomination stands out from the rest of Christianity.

Your denomination has some unique characteristics, but the same can be said of any other division within Christianity.
True. I can always count on atheists to be objective and rational. :D

@kjw47 I think you can agree with me that the "Truth" as in the way, the truth, and the life, is what Jehovah knows.
Jehovah knows that Jesus gave no order to make anything, but you say God did have it written that someone, somewhere, and at some time should make people believe.

That means to me at least, that you really don't know Jehovah or Jesus.

If you know Jehovah you know that God has never put it upon any man, woman, or child the burden of belief. If humankind has ever been given the power over belief, then most people should be right. You say that you are right, which is a ridiculous notion because we can see that Jehovah's Witnesses sometimes have not been right. Not right means you are not on the way of the way, the truth, and the life. If you are not on it, then how can God order you to put someone else on it?

Lol, you still on that "make disciples" kick?

When the witnesses came to your door and preached their dogma to you, (or however it happened) didn't they "make" you a disciple of the governing body? Didn't they "make" you want to learn more of what they taught? Didn't they "make" you want to believe what they believed?

They didn't FORCE you to believe or become a witness, but they talked a good game and "MADE" you want to know more, "MADE" you want to believe, "MADE" you want to join them, correct?

OMG! THEY might be "disciples of the governing body". I never was one of those. What did they make me do? They didn't make me do anything. I am a seeker. What are you?

This Earth surely must be my hell. Hell isn't so bad. Right @Revoltingest ?

I am a seeker of harmony. Some people seek harmony with themselves. Some people seek harmony with other people. I seek harmony with God, Jesus, and the prophets. Nobody makes me do that. Only death can make me stop doing it.

Jesus real teachers = the faithful and discreet slave, who give food( spiritual) at the proper time--when God wills a truth known. Especially these truths-Dan 12:4) They corrected their mistakes at the proper time.

Please read what you wrote kjw47, and pay attention to it.

You say your slave gives spiritual food at the proper time, when your god wills the truth to be known, correct? And they "corrected" their "errors", correct? Why did they have "errors", did they teach their own understanding, running ahead of your god?

The JW,s stand out from the rest. No part of this world.

Do you honestly believe that the witnesses are the only ones who don't steal, don't kill, pay their taxes, won't join the military, and don't vote? I think you should do a survey of your org and find out how many have served in the military, who have been in jail, who have voted, and then do a survey of people who are not witnesses to find out who has never been in the military or killed or stole or voted! I think you'll be surprised.

Witnesses are not unique, except in their religious beliefs.

So, you went "seeking" the witnesses, they didn't come to you with their gospel and MADE you interested and want to learn more? You just showed up at a kingdom hall and joined in, "seeking" what they had to offer?

Of course you can't admit it savagewind, that would blow your argument right out of the water!

We have a different opinion of what make means and that is OK.

When I met the JW who would later study with me, I was wanting to seek knowledge of Jesus Christ. I wasn't seeking anything and nobody made me want to know why Jesus was up there on a cross. The young woman who came to my home that day mentioned Jesus and so then I had someone to talk to about Jesus. My little knowledge of Jesus is what made me want more.

You are guessing about a lot of stuff. Find just one Jehovah's Witness who will claim to have anything to offer. I bet you can't!

MADE you interested and want to learn more?
Before I even knew about the Jehovah's Witnesses, I was interested in knowing God.* And, I believe it might have been God who pushed me into the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses to learn more. And, I did.

*I do not know how I got that way

Correct as Revelation 1:1 shows us that Jesus will tell us of of a Future where Christ (Anointed one, with the Holy Spirit) will return and that Return was in Muhammad, the Bab and Baha'u'llah. This is Christ, the First and the Last, this is our One God Jehovah in His many Names returned in the Greatest Name Baha'u'llah, The Glory of God, the Father.

Christ is the I am, the Alpha and the Omega the Beginning and the End. Christ is who Peter confirmed Jesus was, and it was that knowledge the Church was to be built on.

It is the Spirit that Gives Life, the flesh amounts to nothing.

Regards Tony

Sorry you believe the way you do. Mohammed was a sinner at best--Jesus NEVER sinned.

For me Jesus is as close as my own spirit. I have met other people who have only known Jesus when there was a special need and I certainly was there at an earlier time in my life. Then there are those who know Him as Lord and Savior but find it difficult to have spiritual contact. Then there are those who do not know Him personally but only know him from the Bible.

All that truly know Jesus knows 100% he is not God. He has a God--John 20:17, Rev 3:12

Jesus is a false idol. There is only one true all-powerful all-loving God. And that God is God. Otherwise, there would not be two words. God came before Jesus. God still exists after Jesus. I had a friend who was convinced the second coming of Jesus would happen in his lifetime. He died a long time ago of old age. I imagine you and me will all be long dead and gone before the second coming of Jesus. Until then, God is all there is.

The whole world will see the end of this system shortly.

I guarantee that not every witness has unity of thought. Look at all these forums, and you will see that.

Which are not the 7 men sitting in New York! (WOW, There are eight now!)

Sure, they teach their understanding and make every witness accept it, until "new light" comes and changes it!

Right, you can support the sex industry by paying for cable, but you can't vote for a person to run your country!

This is who-YOU-vote for--2Peter 2:19-- depravity = corruption.
My king Jesus is uncorruptable.

Using a watchtower magazine--worldwide a JW receives the same spiritual feeding week after week-worldwide. Same bible readings for the week, discussed worldwide, etc.
