I honestly believe this entity if real has had hold of my life for all too long. I wasn’t in the right mind the day of attempting it and there’s so much shame in what I did now.. I’ve developed PTSD from it. I’ve read other cases of people who believe they’ve got a powerful entity in their life and it’s almost experience for experience stuff that has happened to me.
Based upon my personal experience of looking for evidence of demons, I think there are only the ones in our heads. They are just as powerful as real ones, but they don't have physical power or supernatural, psychic powers like in the movies.

I am not a psychologist. I have an opinion though.

People are fragmented beings. As babies we do not have identities, but our identity develops over our lives. You may think one thing but feel another. Its common for people to mentally appreciate Math but feel terrible when they work on Math problems -- because people are fragmented beings. Most theory suggests that when a person goes to sleep our consciousness dissolves at times and shuts down. Then when it is coming back we experience dreams and sometimes other things. There are other effects of our fragmented beings: Some people sleep walk. Fragments of our minds can exist when we are partially conscious. When she was young my sister had night terrors where she would wake up feeling afraid but being unable to move until she fell back asleep. For that reason she would sleep with the light on. Sleeping with the light on was unhealthy, but the problem was quite annoying. Nothing attacked her or harmed her. It made absolutely no sense, yet there was fear.

To accomplish things a person much gather themselves together and find things that they are wholehearted about. That is because of all of the fragmentation. If there is uncertainty, most people cannot pursue a goal very well. Few people find a task which satisfies their entire being. Some people even have trouble choosing things, like which snack to eat. Its because they like both, and its because they have the potential to like either one. Its also because they are not well formed. They don't know themselves, and they aren't sure of how to come to terms with their different desires.

What I am saying is that sometimes part of you can feel a certain way while another part feels another way. You can have thoughts that you'd rather not have, or you can have multiple thoughts all potential at the same time. The way you feel can also be entirely independent of what you are thinking or doing! It is all part of all of the fragments merging that make up you. Some of those fragments are going to be nonsensical. Every person is different, and every fragment of every person is different.

Best things:
  • 2. Do talk to a councilor, because it is worth it. It may be expensive, but its probably covered by insurance.
  • 3. If you can't afford a councelor find some other license professional who is trained to recognize all of the different psychological descriptions. Its much easier than trying to dig through piles of information. Most likely your situation is not unheard of.
  • 4. Love, kind comments, happy faces, things to look forward to, exercise, fun. The more the better and the easier it will be for you. The body is a beast which must be appeased, controlled, fed, cheered up and all the rest. Nobody is Batman.
  • 1. learn to smile, because this can help force your emotions to improve. Smile full-face eyes included at least once per day.

I haven’t actually had a counselor, my bad. They where psychologists. Dr. Hutchinson from molines psychiatric group, Dr. Jackie from another place in moline, Patricia something in the same building as my old psychiatrist dr. Naryan. What type of help should I seek?
Yes, that sounds like the direction to go in.

As far as religion goes, I don't know you nearly well enough to offer any specific advice. I can offer a prayer/round that speaks to me: "May the long time sun shine upon you. All Love surround you. And the pure light within you, guide your way on"

THE BACK STORY
I’m 16 years old, never experienced a hallucination, if that’s what this was. Some nights I’m forced to sleep with my mom because she thinks I’m going to kill myself. I’ve got some severe depression in my life and for my mom who found me unconscious on the floor when I was nine from a suicide attempt she doesn’t play that with me. There’s a lot of more stuff on that but That’s not what I’m here for. I know this website is for religious people, I for one have fell off Christianity and this experience may have shot the fear of god into me.
THE INCIDENT
I was awake till 2 AM talking to my mom about all the stuff making me depressed, yesterday was horrible. in fear I wouldn’t sleep well because I haven’t gotten a good nights sleep in 3 or 4 days I took 2 Tylenol PMs which is abnormal for me. Comes 8 AM we’re both asleep, my moms been snoring for hours. All of a fu**** sudden I start to hear words instead of snoring. I don’t remember the first few words but I remember it turned into her flopping while chanting hell, The voice was so demonic.. All of a sudden it stopped and she went back to snoring.. I woke her up, some may think it was careless of me to do I know but I’m not sure if this was a dream. I don’t know if it was some type of half awake half asleep hallucination or something. This feels way too real and I’m extremely frightened.
Trevor shunyadragon is spot on. Get stable first. With someone like you, a good long time out in nature is required away from culture. But you only know the city, and it can drive you Into madness if you are not careful. We are trained up in certain ways in culture to think and you don't fit the "normal" profile. It's a curse or a blessing it's all up to you, but you have a rocky road and a clear path in your life. Being an artist is a curse and a blessing it all depends on you.. If you were around we would be walking around out in nature and I would be going what the hell is there to believe, to not believe or to be agnostic about! That's for totally crazy normal city folks. You are not normal, get stable and start learning who you are. Are you left handed?

Please talk to your psychologists.

Frankly, no one here is trained to help you.

We will give random advices that has helped us in the past but keep in mind they might have been for very different reasons.

Only the psychologist can root your issues and when they are rooted then can they come up with the best plan to help with it.

No body here can help with that. A misdiagnosis from us is just going to cause setbacks with you and your psychologist.

Concerning demons... You went to a religious forum believing possibly religious people can help you? This could be the cat chasing its tail. This could be confirming a false bias. Im just saying...

Please keep focus with your psychologist and be patient of progress. These things do not fix itself overnight. :)

Though I don't have a mental illness, many in my family do. From my own personal experience, I would tell you to seek counseling, first and foremost.

I grew up in a very Christian setting, and was taught about demons, possession, and all that other BS. Because of that, I saw some things I equated to demonic powers. Later on (through rational thinking) I realised this was my own mind playing tricks on me, and when I put that demonic belief- those fears of demonic power out of my mind, I never experienced that stuff again.

If you see a counselor, they can help you discover things about yourself, and can help you find the tools you need to deal with these problems, and to think about these issues with a more rational perspective. I think that would help you a lot, imo.

I’ve sat here reading everything and there’s a whole lot to reply to but I’m going to see a psychologist, maybe Patricia she wasn’t bad it was just not enough time with her I only got 40 minutes she was extremely booked.

you summed my entire life up except for the left handedness. It’s insane how accurate this was.. this was probably the one that’s helped me the most you’ve proven to know me based off events and I’m going to listen you and take your advice. I actually love nature.. I hate being in the city my dream house is a modernized cabin in some woods away from people. Maybe that sounds bad but my social anxiety makes life harder than it needs to be.

When I was 9 the reason I started noticing my depression more is because all of my grand parents had passed within a month, my dad went to prison the same month and my dog ran away. I was in the back room of my house, playing on a wii. In my head was myself saying “you won’t do it *****”. I grabbed the wii nunchuck without thought and used the cord with it to make a noose in the closet. I then put my head in it and made my legs collapse. My body of course tried to prevent me from killing myself but that voice in my head “you won’t follow through *****” prevented me from standing up. I went unconscious and broke the cord, my mother found me unconscious and not breathing on the floor. Upon waking me up my eye blood vessels had popped, my faces blood vessels popped and my neck was swollen beyhond belief.
This is most definitely something you'll want to say to your psychologist. And anyone else assigned to your case. The more open and honest you are with them, the better than can help you, and the better relationship you'll have with them.
I get flashbacks constantly and this may sound childish but yes, I’ve developed an insane fear of closets I have to have them closed at night and I don’t like going into them.
It's not childish at all. You had a traumatic experience in one and nearly died. Rather, it would be childish, and foolish, to try and pretend such a thing had no effect on you.

Have any of your doctors put you on meds....or even suggested any?

I have done a lot of research into the use of medicinal cannabis for PTSD (I think its legal in your state) but it sounds like what you describe might have something to do with one of the many forms of schizophrenia. Hearing voices that tell you to do things you would not normally (like goading you to suicide) do is a sign of mental illness, not demonism. Having vivid delusions is also something that can come with such an illness. God doesn't use scary experiences to get you to worship him. He invites you to get to know him in a loving way.

With depression comes excessive focus on self and the turmoil going on in your own head. (its understandable when life and thoughts appear to be spinning out of control) But depression can also be a product of a diet poor in vitamins and minerals. We need good healthy food to feed the body and the mind. A supplement of strong B complex vitamins is always a good idea for anyone suffering depression. If a chemical imbalance is the cause of your problems, then doctors should be testing you for these.

Just my 2 cents worth.

You are tapped in its OK. Your neurology is different. What you have to work on is how are you different. I would strongly encourage you to start getting connected to nature. It sounds wierd to most people but it is the healthy approach to your future. Read up on a crazy Scot who changed the world. His name John Muir. for him the mountains the wilderness was home. He is the father of our national parks. Find your voice in what ever form that takes. And find peers who are more interested in moving out of the zoo, more inclined to getting away from the city and more likely to be found in nature and they find it a spiritual thing not a resource. Spirituality is important but context of that is important. Church ain't it for You but that is OK. Keep at it get Balanced and get out. Who knows maybe you will write, sing, paint, or some form speak to a blind world if you keep it on the rails. That's the big if isn't it. Up to you.

I do have a chemical imbalance in my brains makeup, I was put on trileptol, Zoloft and Xanax but none of them ever helped me. I guess there’s a counselor for everyone as well as the correct medication, as for marijuana I hate to say but already use because of my anger issues. It works miracles for my PTSD and my Depression it’s just when I run out of weed it’s like all my suppressed problems come back even harder. Everyone on this forum has incredibly improved my thoughts of humanity. I’ve seen so much bad in this world I started wondering if there was any good maybe why I started to lose faith.. this here is enough to show me there’s still good people in this world though you’ve all never met me you’re so happy to help. thank you for reassuring me about the closet thing it’s a pretty big thing for me. Just hate being around them open and most people can’t understand. I’ve always had a hard time opening up to my psychologists which is maybe why I’m not better.. I really need to find the right one for me it’d work wonders.

I used to do so much stuff involved with nature with my old friend Alex until he moved, after that it pretty much ended. Other than those woods the rest of everything is stressful. I get tired of the most authority and I hate how everything today is ran. It’s not so much I hate life, I just really dislike the people who have the power to effect mine. If I could be alone out in some wilderness or even with a good friend for a while it would probably do me some good I really need to look into it. Would probably come back appreciating the city a bit more. My dad claims our near distant ancestors where mountain men.

I'm glad to hear that there is something that helps, we all need a little miracle now and then.....but is there a reason to run out? Cost? Availability? Can you ensure a regular supply? Its way better than pharma drugs.....not addictive like Xanax either. Isn't trileptol used for epilepsy? :shrug:

Everyone on this forum has incredibly improved my thoughts of humanity. I’ve seen so much bad in this world I started wondering if there was any good maybe why I started to lose faith.. this here is enough to show me there’s still good people in this world though you’ve all never met me you’re so happy to help.

I’ve got chronic depression from my father

It can often be inherited. I have generations of depression in my close family too, though I have never been troubled by it myself.

I think I’m gonna start exercising, taking fish oil pills and get another psychologist.

Exercise is a wonderful therapy all by itself. If you can take a run by a lake or in a park where there are nice surroundings, it is excellent for your mood. Do you live somewhere that has nature walks or woodlands where you can get out in creation and just breathe? Listen to uplifting music too, not the stuff that rattles your nerves or that focuses on negative things....music that makes you feel settled and confident. YouTube has a lot of relaxation music with nature sounds that I personally find helps me to sleep. There is a lot that you can do for yourself.

Fish oil is also beneficial, but don't forget the B vitamins because a lack of them can exacerbate depression, particularly B6, B12 and B17 which are all linked to depression and anxiety.

When you get older most people just complain about politics so it doesnT change as you age. I checked out of politics it's too draining and nonsense anyway. Like I said get balanced and start thinking where do you want your life to head? That's not even a career question.

I second the B vitamins! I got a blood test after being diagnosed with anxiety/depression by one doctor and turned out my B vits were chronically low. So I was given an injection to top them up... it absolutely changed me!

And there are definitely many nice people, but the news likes to focus on all the bad stuff! Don't watch it if you're sensitive to negativity like that.

The cost of weed for the most part, I’ve gotten it to where I can buy 50$ worth for a week. I wish it was legal it enhances life, makes you forget about the bad stuff. Get better sleep and gives me enough of an appetite to eat like a normal person. Trileptol though for what I know is a mood balancer so it may be for both ‍♂️ It honestly has restored so much faith in humanity because you’ve all never met me but care for a fellow person enough to sit here and tell me ways to make my life better that’s amazing. My mom seems to be happy she’s good at making the best of any situation. My dad though he’s always had a bunch of problems in and out of prison I’m not gonna let myself follow his steps. I’ll get some b vitamins as well.

Yeah I hear a lot of people complain about how the politics are no matter their age, I wish we could just be born and live our lives as long as we’re not intruding others. Property taxes?? that’s just insane. Have to pay to live on a place of land even after you pay for the lot when buying the house that type of stuff doesn’t make sense.

I’ll for sure get some b vitamins as well and yeah , I’m glad to see good people. I’ve got bipolar disorder which is why I had the trileptol so that with the depression sucks.

Yes. And any mental health professional who is worth anything wont take it personally or get upset if you request someone else. Sometimes it is a matter of finding a good fit between client and clinician.
