Heaven

I always wondered how you can enjoy heaven when your soul leaves the physical body that allows you to see...hear...smell...taste...love...laugh...run...walk...so on and so on.....in other words you can't do ANYTHING for eternity! Really think about that long and hard:)

The resurrected body is the same as Jesus' resurrected body. Jesus was walking around doing everything a person could do after being raised from the dead. Even had a nifty hole in his hand.

As a so-called strong atheist I should point out that when making a point one should (key action word - should) investigate the topic - at least casually - before asking questions that simply mirror ones own biases. In no way am I supportive of the various "heaven" scenarios however most of the relevant scriptures have this covered and are fairly easy to dig up. I'll leave that to the aficionados of given religions to express themselves as they will.

In a dream we can experience some things that we aren't actually doing. Maybe Heaven is a dream land.

Well, in the first place the Bible does not say anyone goes to heaven. This is something that most Christians do not understand so it is quite reasonable that an aetheist would not understand. But like the above post says, the resurrected body will be able to do everything the physical body can do. Maybe a closer study of religion will help make this clear.

So the bible says you dont go to heaven which means its a man made thing? Pretty much falls in line with the whole man made God argument.

The bible said Jesus came back...can you provide any evidence outside of a claim made by a 2000 year old book? I could claim that Voldemort is real becaise its says so in a book.

Our souls are clothed in this fleshy body, which as you say will rot in the ground. People who've experienced NDE's talk about their soul 'leaving' their earthly body and floating upwards and onwards.

The GOD of Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad, peace be upon them all tells us, we will one day have our bodies resurrected from the Earth and thereafter those destined for Heaven will be clothed in Heavenly garments able to withstand the presence of The Most High. Our bodies will be free from imperfections, defects and allow us to enjoy the sights, locations, food and drink of Heaven with our loved ones.

What about your friends and loved ones that dont make it to heaven? Screw em? You wont give it a thought?

Reality is made from multiple levels of quantum physics dimensions (Matrix) that emanate from a Source, sort of like a CPU; yet more advanced, this is what religious texts call God.

Just because we're here in a formed coded realm, we use biological mechanisms that allow electrical functions within us to feel, where the actual thing feeling the responses is consciousness.

When we're dead we're in a realm of formlessness, where consciousness is more real, as we're connected directly to all feelings, and as we're near the Source, we're in a place of pure consciousness, where all knowledge is available to us (Heaven).

In Heaven we use our consciousness to see, have all knowledge, and can manifest what we want in reality; the realm of matter we're within is seen as a negative affect of realities construction in many cultures, a place of lower dense physical desires.

In my opinion. :innocent:

Wow, you sure have an innate ability to twist things around.
Since I didn’t write the op, I have no need to provide evidence of anything. Then you talk of “anything that comes from religious folk” which is a random ad hominem statement unconnected to the op. Thankfully, I’m as far as you can get from “religious folk”, so I understand it was not directed at me.
But then, you ask me to provide you with evidence of something, also not connected to the op. Anyway, I don’t think it exists, which btw, has nothing to do with enjoying heaven.

Heaven should not exist for an atheist. So if you're going to talk about Heaven why not talk about the resurrection of the dead also?
