Who are the Liberal Christians?

Are you saying then that the Liberal Christians are those who don't necessarily go to an organized church but who still believe in God and Christ and read the bible?

No, that is not what a Liberal Christian is.

I'm not sure who this was addressed to, but if I may respond...

A liberal Christian is someone who is a Christian and a Liberal, or in some cases it is used to describe a Christian who does not interpret the Bible the way a conservative Christian would. Often times Liberal Christians will not take the Bible literally, and accept homosexuality, abortion, etc. Conservative Christians would take the Bible literally, be opposed to abortion, homosexuality, etc.

God bless.

Hi Arben, I don't remember speaking to you before. I agree with most of your post, but would not go so far as to qualify "liberal" necessarily with " Liberal Christians will not take the Bible literally, and accept homosexuality, abortion, etc. " - although that is the case with me.

Liberal Christians are a very diverse group. There are usually one or more things about mainstream Christianity, fundamentalism, literalism, and evangelicalism that they take issue with, especially on core Christian doctrines, social issues, authority, and biblical interpretation.
