I really don't know what your saying is some changing attitude, far as I know liberals have been opposed to sexual assault.
Of course, they'd
say they were against sexual assault. And I'm sure that
in a general sense, they truly were. But when Bill was running for & serving
as Prez, liberals looked the other way when he was accused of it. So sexual
assault was wrong sometimes, but not when it's one of their own.
The leftish media had the stories, but refused to air them. It only became known
thru the Drudge Report. (The internet was a game changer because the mainstream
media could no longer dictate what we read.) I recall how odd it was that NPR was
entirely silent during Bill's campaign for re-election. They only covered it
after he'd
won his 2nd term, & it couldn't damage him politically. Even then, they covered him
in a sympathetic manner.
And ironically, now NPR's head news guy has been outed as a sexual harasser.
ABC is still trying to sanitize Bill. Note in this article which claims to address Bill's sexual
predation, it deals only with the sordid Lewinsky affair, but doesn't even mention Willey's
or Broaddrick's accusations of rape.
Should Bill Clinton's history of sexual harassment be re-examined?
So we're not done progressing towards fully open opposition to sexual assault by the powerful & elite.
