A link between the serpent of Genesis 3 and Satan, or the devil, is given in Revelation 12:9 and 20:2: they are one and the same.
‘And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world’
That's even dumber.
You are aware there is more than one snake in the universe, right??
You are aware that not every reference in the Bible to a snake is the exact same snake, right??
Do you honestly believe this is a good link??
Do you also believe that Moses transformed his staff into Satan??
You must see how ridiculous and dumb that argument is.
Satan is God's primary challenger. In Genesis Satan was disguised as a serpent.
Genesis 2:16 says when Adam eats the fruit he will die and not at some later date.
Genesis 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; 17 but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it you will certainly die."
The KJV is more specific, in/on that day Adam eats the fruit he will die.
Genesis 2:16-17King James Version (KJV)
16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.
So basically you are picking and choosing the translation that translates as "in the day" rather than the translation that translates the same word as "when", because that fits the narrative you want to craft.
Sorry, King James is a garbage translation and i'll trust NIV's version over that every day of the week.
