I'm not affected at all by these shootings. But I should be, I just feel despair, despair that the obvious cannot be discussed.

Shhhhh!!! Stop politicising the tragedy! Now is the time for thoughts and prayers!

You did post this in a debate forum.

Include it your request to not debate in your OP and probably a Mod will move this to somewhere more appropriate.

This kind of thing happens every day - multiple people die from a gun. And, truly sadly, most people ignore the river of blood.

I get a bit irritated when they include the perpetrator with the victims when they count the dead. I have no compassion for the shooter.
Reminds me of a news story several years ago, but it was a suicide bombing that left, I don't remember but let's say 23 people dead, including the bomber. Isn't it kind of a given that during a "suicide bombing," the bomber died during the process?

Its so frequent an event that people become desensitized to it. They feel sad and the solution to the problem is so obvious to those who are not indoctrinated from birth about their "right to bear arms".....yet it is seen as something like a natural disaster....something that is not preventable.

I just feel despair, despair that the obvious cannot be discussed.

Just add it to a long list of things that cannot be discussed.....like the use of hemp to replace all the poisonous plastic that is choking our planet.....or the pollution that burning fossil fuels bring to overcrowded cities....or the reason why there is no cure for cancer in modern medicine when medicinal cannabis has been shown to treat many cancers and a host of other serious illnesses effectively....or the reason why those who most engage in warfare are the top dealers in weapons.....let's dare not ask those questions....
I think its time for people to wake up and follow the money trail....and recognize propaganda for what it is.

Its so important to talk about it. That after a day or two it's like it never even happened!

Yea, it is written in the Book of Cyril...

Well, by then the next one will have happened...

Still, gotta hand it to President Trump, his response was perfectly representative, considering how much most Americans actually care about this issue... couldn't even be bothered to change the name of the community in his cut 'n' paste condolences Trump Slammed For Tweeting Condolences About The Wrong Mass Shooting

Well whether he bought the guns legally or obtained them by illegal means is really somewhat of a moot point due to the following. Seems there should be more investigation into the problem to insure that those that should not be legally able to posses firearms do not. Also I do not know if his record would have prevented him from purchasing firearms or not.
FBI database for gun buyers missing millions of records
From the above source:
“The shortcomings of the system have been identified, there just seems to be a lack of will to address them,’’ said Louis Dekmar, president of the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
