God's Love

Then maybe you should correct him, since he came to me first.
Maybe that's right, seeing it differently, but then he should haved consider that, before replying to anyone. maybe a person does not see it his way either.

The Thread above does say, General Religious Debate, and the debate is about
"God's Love"
Therefore neither I or him did nothing wrong, but debate as the Thread does say
"General Religious Debate"

Debate proves oneself right with evidence/support
Argument is proving others wrong with/without support

I tend to side with debate because it doesnt critize others.

That's me. Seeing scripture differently is fine. Debate means support why you see it different and why is your view accurate.

Arguments result in You statements. It does not support nor counteract the other party's "views" but attacks the person saying it.

You dont know if he read the scriptures wrong. Only god knows, right?

As I say, no give scripture to me, if one comes to me, not give scripture what they say, what good. I give scripture Jesus tells what Blasphemy of Holy Spirit is, and when it happens and by who can commit it,
in book of Mark 13. Now what you say

Can you rephrase. I think this is in incomplete sentenses.

I say, if a person comes to you, saying things, well you not answer. Sure you will.

Then I said, Jesus has foretold what the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit and when it will happen and who can commit it.
In the book of Mark 13. Go read and see if can figure it out, It's all there.book of Mark 13.

When I was young I was told God love me, I said okay how do I know because at that time the only love I knew was felt through interaction and this love lacked that so I thought how would I test it.

To feel God's love, one must first have a basic understanding of how God operates, and how He communicates with us. But before even that, you must truly and actively desire what you seek and believe that you will receive it. If you only mildly want it and/or don't really believe that God is real and that he can extend his love to you, you will most likely never experience it.

Assuming you really want to feel God's love, and that you can at least believe that if there is a God, that he does love you, consider the following additional points gleaned from scripture:

Let's assume that:
  1. God is real
  2. God is omniscient and knows you
  3. God is omnipotent
  4. You are created in the image of God. You are like him, only less perfect
  5. If you are like God, and God has a spirit (the Holy Ghost), it follows that you too have a spirit. I liken our spirits to our consciousness, or self awareness.
  6. You have a body that can feel physical senses, and a spirit (consciousness) that dwells in your body. It's both your body and your spirit which allows you to feel emotions, such as love, hurt, anguish, anger, jealousy, etc.
  7. Imperfect beings are not allowed into the presence of God.
  8. Because imperfect beings are not allowed into the presence of God, He communicates to us spirit to spirit. The medium of that communication is the 3rd member of the godhead or holy trinity as some call it, the Holy Ghost. Incidentally, the Holy Ghost is mentioned over 300 times in the New Testament, probably double that or more if you refer to other names for the same entity, e.g. "holy spirit", "comforter", etc. Must be pretty important.
With these assumptions in hand (which I believe can all be verified in the bible), let's look at a few verses (KJV) that support my assumption (point #8) that God communicates to us through the medium of the Holy Ghost:

Luke 2:25-26
"...and the Holy Ghost was upon him. And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost..."

John 14:26
"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost [...] shall teach you all things..."

Acts 13:2
"As they [...] fasted, the Holy Ghost said..."

There are dozens more references just like these that support the assumption that God uses the Holy Ghost to communicate with his children. I don't need to post them all, you can search them up if you're interested. The next reference answers the question, "how can I feel God's love?" in perfect clarity:

Romans 5:5
"And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us." (emphasis added)

From this we can conclude that God's love can be felt in our hearts (the center of our being, the wellspring of emotions) through the Holy Ghost, which is the method God uses to speak to our minds and our hearts.

So how do we convince God to give us this priceless manifestation that He loves us? Again, I believe it comes down to truly and actively desiring what you seek and believing that you will receive it. Once you are confident that you both desire and believe, the next step is simply to ask with this understanding of how He answers (the Holy Ghost), without wavering (doubting) and wait for Him to answer in His way and in His own time [See James 1:5-7 ask, but don't doubt, for a doubting man receives no answer; James 4:8 if we draw close to the Lord, he will draw close to us].

I like to put things in my own words. If we trust our own words, unless we lie on purpose, we'd be expressing the truth as regardless the instrument of choice.

Colossians 4:6
Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

-If your speech doesnt help others or compassionate, what lesson does your message teach beyond context?

Proverbs 15:1-2

A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of fools pour out folly

-Id say constructive debates lend more positive results. Deconstructive debates are arguments.

This doesnt speak of how to conduct ones reply in a healthy and humble manner. Also, why save people but condemn them by speech?

Thats like saying because you see the knife used for butter and he sees it as a dangerious object, because you see it as useful, he now sees wrong views cause he disagrees with you.

The bible cant do anything. Its how you interpet and apply the teachings works well for you. The death of millions shows god's justice to many christians. Others see killing opposite of justice.

Its not true nor false.

He has a good idea of what the bible says. He sees it different. Why critize him? Thats not godly.

@Faithofchristian

I didnt mention james.

Just noticed your tone and made a comment about it.

You most certainly did mention
James 1:19, just back to your post before this post.
Why do you contradict yourself, when it's fact, all a person has to do is scroll up to your post and see you quoted James 1:19
What's up with all that

I thought you meant I mistake you for taking about a member name james.

My position still stands. Critizing by the post i repested and the verses from ephesians and james just supports why i commented on your views and espression of them.

Unless you are arging against the bible, point where I am wrong about speaking well to others and we can go from there.

If someone question you, would you not reply.whether it be twice or three or four times, Sure you would, then I did nothing wrong but to answer back.

It wasn't meant as right or wrong, its too bad you can't see past that, it was a question as to why you thought that the was the best way to let me know that it didn't matter to you. Have you ever heard, "Thou protest too much"?

Too bad you don't know your God as well as you think you know your bible.

You read minds? You do presume an awful lot for a person who does not know me. It is true that I do not know my God but rather my God knows me and chose me. You don't choose God, He chooses who He reveals the truth to.

Matthew 16
17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

So you see that no man can reveal the truth but only my Father in heaven can.

The Buddha taught that compassion for others can be given through dilague. It helps me understand how to talk with anyone who disagrees in a calm and collective manner like The Buddha. No one is an alien. We can learn from all interactions if we are willing to put the effort and interest.
