Why should anyone be offended

i keep hearing the argument that what a person does with another shouldn’t effect me and neither should their views.

I accept this.

But, why is it that you get upset about my views about certain things. I don’t try to impose my will, or vote for those who do. I simply state my belief and try to live in society?

Do you have a patent on the “it doesn’t effect you” argument?

Views may offend but not affect. Actions based on those views may affect others. So views never acted upon in any way are harmless, except maybe to the holder of the view.

But how often is that the case that they are never acted upon or influencing an action of the holder of said views? I would wager that viewpoints always color actions. that is the issue,

Who is the "you" referenced here? I have no idea what your view is on anything.
I can see how some views (not necessarily yours) can upset some people. Views (aka beliefs) inform one's actions. Wrong headed beliefs can cause harmful actions. Again, not saying yours are harmful....I don't know what they are.
