Here is what I look like as a dark elf.

Cultural appropriation!
For that one, for the Dökkálfar/Svartálfar, my roots are covered.
At times though, I almost wish someone would accuse me of cultural appropriation, especially over something this is my heritage. But, at this rate, it looks like it's going to have to be something that seems out of the ordinary but is a part of my heritage. Ain't nobody gonna call me out for appropriation over playing that black rock 'n roll music, after all.

My youngest wanted bacon for breakfast this morning...so I made her some..... and then... I even tried a piece of the greasy, vile slab of overly salted coronary inducing yuckyness...I STILL don't like bacon

Bacon likes you.
It's the "big tent" food.

Shame. What I'd give for half a pound of thick sliced oak smoked back, each rasher grilled until crisp and served on thick slabs of fresh whole grain bread with a dash of brown (hp) sauce? Can get the bread, wonderful bread, anywhere, can get the sauce from the imported food shelf of bigger supermarkets, just can't get decent bacon in France.

I wonder if I can convince my doctor that ADHD meds might be worth a try. At worst, they'll keep me up at night. Which tends to happen anyways because my mind is constantly running a million different directions. I've complained for so many years that I have a hard time sleeping because my mind is processing a thousand different things and doesn't want to slow down or shut off. If I'm not physically exhausted, sleep for me is more of an issue of "if."
I wonder if I should bring in screenshots of my posting habits to support my "wild mind that only focuses on what I'm interested in?" Usually, to start an "RF day," I'll open a ton of tabs, read a bit from one thread, start to respond, then jump to another thread and start to respond, jump to another thread, and before I know it I have five different responses to five different threads but none of them finished.
It's also kind of funny how many things you start to notice about yourself once you start to care for yourself. Like how I've recently noticed my attention span is vast and near infinite, but only it's placed in something I'm interested in. Everything else, I've wondered how I would have fared in college had I not come into it with a good understanding on the material - such as reading an article from Martin Heidegger that for me was very simple only because it reminded me of Sagan's "star stuff." In reality, I probably only read roughly 1/4 of all my assigned readings, not necessarily because I neglected it, but usually because I'd start a couple paragraphs later my mind had already been a dozen other places.
