What scary or Halloween related movies are you planning on watching this year?

I'm kind of tired of the same old stuff, so maybe you guys will provide me with something new to watch.

I don't know what you've seen, but pretty much everything from the Saw and Hostel series is good. The earlier Hellraiser movies were also pretty good, but that franchise weakened with time. And pretty much any movie where people drive off the beaten path into a horror scenario (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, U-Turn, The Hills Have Eyes) are pretty good.

Hostel is wicked. Probably the most riled up/disturbed I've ever been after seeing a horror movie. Well... considering my normal reaction is next to nothing, that's probably not saying much... but still.

I already watched the new Stephen King’s It this year and it’s really good. So if you haven’t seen that yet give it a shot. I’m not an easily scared person and I actually jumped/cringed a few times during the movie (especially in the beginning and during a few of the scenes in the sewers).

An old one is the original "Fright Night" from my youth. It's a slightly more campy/fun take on horror movies. I was banking on that memory of the film when I decided to let my 12 year old watch it with us. He was fine up until THIS image was on the screen...

... his resolve took a bit of a hit, and he admitted to walking up the stairs backward and checking under his bed that night.

The Mist tv show was pretty good on Netflix, I just finished it up this morning. Stranger Things is good for Halloween as well, season 2 just started on Netflix as well. As far as classics go, I usually re-watch The Evil Dead franchise including the new Ash vs The Evil Dead tv show. Nightbreed is another solid for me, I was a huge Clive Barker fan back in the day. The original IT is also good, but you've probably seen it 1,000 times like me. Nightmare before Christmas I watch on Halloween, and Harry Potter marathon on Christmas. There is a new movie on Netflix called 1922, it was good for a macabre, slightly spooky tale.

@Mister Silver
Have you seen the movies 'Satanic'?
I recently stumbled across it on Netflix.
It's imperative seeing it through till the very end, even if it seems slow at times.
It is implicitly super scary.

Trick r treat is good
Creepshow 1 and 2
Burton's Sleepy Hallow is fun
Anything vamp related I usually try to find as I'm a huge vamp fan (Daybreakers, any Dracula, Blade etc)
Any Halloween specials from kids shows I used to watch for that nostalgia
Tales from the crypt (well okay that's a TV show but still.)
Saw
Hostel
Scary Movie 2 for a laugh

Don't let the pretentious "witty sophisticated" comment send you away.

WWMRD?
More into the comedy horror as long as they don't try too hard as most serious horror movies seem like the same formulaes over and over again:
What We Do in the Shadows
Blacula
Scream Blacula Scream
Black Devil Doll (2007) would like to see more of Heather Murphy
