Can a person who knows, believes, trust, and follows their idea of Holy Scripture possibly be misleading his self or her self?

Many people say, "No! as long as I keep on doing that I can't be misled if I am doing it".
In other words, the Bible won't mislead anyone. I think you believe that @Faithofchristian. Do you?

No the bible God's word, does not misled people.
Man's teachings and doctrines is what misleads people.

I don't remember what this thread is about and I have not much time to check it out, but I have a new thought. I am going to share it.

Holy means to be set apart on high.
Something which is truly holy cannot be used.
We are using the Bible, so it can't be holy.

Meaning I can see that you rated this post with a pen icon. It means creative. I checked. You really did. Maybe you should take it off and make me look dumb. I say, "why not?".

The bible came by God and given to chosen Holy men by God, to write down only what God has given inspiration for them what to write down.and nothing more.
I do not know if that is true. But, to believe that it is "nothing more" you have to believe that nobody until the Jehovah's Witnesses changed it. I can't believe that and I wonder how people can.

Nothing more. That would be a happy conclusion. It isn't what is happening. People are assigning people's meaning to the words. That is a FACT.

I do not disagree with that but when it was copied and translated it had to have been understood which means that if it is still God's Word the copyist had to have known what everything that he copied meant. Is that possible, in your opinion? I do not know what the situation was when it was delivered to men to write it, but I do know about meaning and it is why I know that sometime between the writing of it and now, another meaning was added to some of it. If any meaning was added or lost it can't be God's word.

What I am saying is that I can believe that when and as it was written they were really God's words.
Now that some scripture contradicts some other scripture I know for certain that some meaning was changed.

I am wondering if anyone can agree with me that if human opinion was added to God's Word it isn't God's Word anymore?

If the meaning of anything which is considered by the people God's Word was changed how can anyone believe it is still God's Word that they obey and that it can't mislead them?

Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the assured expectation of what is hoped for,+ the evident demonstration* of realities that are not seen JW NWT

"of realities that are not seen".

It seems people who have to accept the Bible only with the condition that it be all and every part God's own words lack faith.

Without faith, you will not be able to know what was written because you have what you believe was written.

Some people have to see God to believe in God.
Other people have to see God's words to be able to believe in God's words.

It is why I say I have little in common with Christians and why I do not advertise that I am a Christian.

I believe a Christian is a person of faith.

Here I will let you know what I do that helps me out whole lot.
Get yourself a Strong's Concordance that has the Hebrew and Greek Translation in it.

Also there's the Bullinger companion Bible.
Which has the Hebrew and Greek translated in English. That you can go online by putting in your search engine
Online companion Bible.

You can do the same with the
Appendixes to the Companion bible

What the Appendixes is, it out lines the Translations. For each word

Say for instance the word ( air ) the Appendixes will give what this word means actually in the Hebrew which means
Air = Ruach, which means = spirit.

So by putting in your search engine
Appendixes to the Companion bible

These three tools is all I use in my bible study that helps me to understand words in the Hebrew and Greek language being translated into English.

Companion bible
Appendixes to the Companion bible
Strong's Concordance of the Hebrew and Greek.
Also the KJV 1611

The 1611 is the year in which king James had the Hebrew and Greek language translated into English.

This is what the Bullinger used for the translation of the Hebrew and Greek language.
And Appendixes to the Companion bible.
And the Strong's Concordance.

You can also by putting in your search engine Strong's Concordance online bible study.

Like this:

Matthew 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Go to the Greek page.

Strong's Transliteration Greek English Morphology
4198 [e] poreuthentes πορευθέντες having gone V-APP-NMP
3767 [e] oun οὖν therefore, Conj
3100 [e] mathēteusate μαθητεύσατε disciple V-AMA-2P
3956 [e] panta πάντα all Adj-ANP
3588 [e] ta τὰ the Art-ANP
1484 [e] ethnē ἔθνη, nations, N-ANP

Can you see that the word disciple is a verb? What does it mean? Click on the number for it.
3100 it says: to be a disciple, to make a disciple

People have said, "see! It says it means to make a disciple."

It is very, very, very obvious to me that someone added that to the definition so that the word would match the people's opinion of the meaning of the word.

Nobody yet has said to me that they realize that to be a disciple and to make a disciple are DIFFERENT.

The Bible translation makes them mean the same. They are not the same.

If in fact, they are right that to be a disciple means to make a disciple then they are making themselves. I realize that I would do a very, very, very, very poor job of that and I have proof.

I am letting Jesus Christ do it.
