Deities may or may not exist...however, I do believe that everything is/has spirit/s...God or Gods would be REALLY REALLY BIG AND POWERFUL spirits, and most of them are too vast for me to apprehend or comprehend...

I'm not familiar with Animism. I need to study up on it.

I'm an agnostic and soft polytheist. I don't know if any gods exist literally but I believe in many gods as metaphors for natural causes, the human psyche and nature. Additionally I'm a spiritualist (not animist but I still think there are many spirits around).

This is for discussion only, no debating, please. Simply vote and post what you believe. Since this isn't a debate no one need feel like they have to justify or defend their belief.

I've learned a lot about people being here at RF. Let's learn more.
I am an agnostic atheist at the moment. I am an agnostic because I believe that knowledge of God is impossible. I am an atheist, as I lack belief in the existence of God, but I do not actively believe that god does not or could not exist.

Okay, I will. Were most of the American Indians animists?
As I understand it, yes, but not necessarily in the same way I consider myself to be animist...it would take a lot of explaining, I'm still not sure about the NA side of things, even the few traditions I know anything at all about...

I believe in God immanent and transcendent and that all religions partial expressions of His nature. And I believe that anyone motivated in his heart of hearts by love, truth, joy, beauty and peace is on the upward path leading to the Divine. And that anyone who tries his best to live those principles will in the end rejoice, be he believer or atheist.

There is the Absolute or Ultimate Reality in the form of pure consciousness and I am one and the same as that reality.

I'm an atheist and voted don't care, which speaks to my apatheistic side. I dont innately trust any authority figure and I'm a consequentialist, so I believe judgement on conduct should be based on what it does rather than any given rules, no matter how good, old or powerful the rules are claimed to be sourced from.

(Chaotic good for Dungeons and Dragons nerds.)
