I voted the best fit: a structured living to properly correct your spirit

I think heaven is temporary afterlife plane where we reunite with others, evaluate the past life, enjoy beauty more alive through our subtle body, continue our growth. (I also believe in reincarnation)

A playground for adults. Playground threw me off. When we have no more rebirth, we have perfect wisdom of life and death (wise/adult) and actually die in peace.

In the astral plane where heaven and hell both exist, we have roughly the same form as we did when we had a physical body at the start. And we are met when we drop our physical bodies but the various things I've read differ about who is meeting us - a divine figure or a beloved relative.

After that we start reviewing our physical life and feeling the pleasure (heaven) or pain (hell) of the life just lived depending on the overall balance of our deeds.

"Heaven" is divine light, divine music. A feeling of ultimate peace.

The ability to access heaven was given by an apostle through the process of laying on of hands.

1 Timothy 5:22
Do not lay hands upon anyone too hastily and thereby share responsibility for the sins of others; keep yourself free from sin.

Mark 10:16
And He took them in His arms and began blessing them, laying His hands on them.

Acts 8:17
Then they began laying their hands on them, and they were receiving the Holy Spirit.

Acts 6:6
And these they brought before the apostles; and after praying, they laid their hands on them.

1 Timothy 4:14
Do not neglect the spiritual gift within you, which was bestowed on you through prophetic utterance with the laying on of hands by the presbytery.

2 Timothy 1:6
For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.

"Hail, O Light."
Upon us who lay buried in darkness
and shut up in the shadow of death,
a light shone forth from heaven,
purer than the sun
and sweeter than the life of earth.
That light is life eternal,
and whatsoever things partake of it, live...

O pure Light!
In the blaze of the torches
I have a vision of heaven and of God....

Whether one believes or not,
the existances of any 'god' like entities,
are purely imaginative fallacies of fear.
To escape that dellema, one must just smile at the dellusions,
and try to avoid the preacher !
I guess I won't know the form that I will be in.
Maybe I'll toss a coin, but with my luck,
it'll land on it's edge, Ahhhhhh........Pascal again !

Perhaps it's not something to reach, but to aim for. A scenery for weary eyes.

What makes people think they must of necessity go to heaven? Did God put humans in heaven like the angels, or did he create the earth for them to inhabit forever? (Genesis 3:22-24) What did Jesus say?....."The meek shall inherit the earth"

When he taught us to pray, he said that with the coming of God's Kingdom, his will was going to be done "on earth as it is in heaven".

Psalm 115:15-17......

"May you be blessed by Jehovah,

The Maker of heaven and earth.

16 As for the heavens, they belong to Jehovah,

But the earth he has given to the sons of men.

17 The dead do not praise Jah;

Nor do any who go down into the silence of death."

The dead do not praise Jehovah because they are still sleeping in their graves. (Ecclesiastes 9:5,6,10)

Jesus promises to call them out of there when his kingdom rules the earth. (John 5:28-29)

In the "new earth" life will be like it was for Adam before his disobedience. (2 Peter 3:13)

Only a relatively small number of humans are chosen to rule with Christ in his kingdom.....God chooses every one of them for the role of king/priest. (Revelation 20:6) Their job is to bring the imperfect human race back into an acceptable condition before their Creator, so that God's first purpose can be realized. (Isaiah 55:11)

in recent weeks ....as well as documentaries past
I have developed a greater suspicion

death wipes your slate
after your last breath.....'you' .....are no longer you

however
the tendencies you are motivated by carry over
the spirit and the nature of your spirit stands before God and heaven

I believe we are grouped to others like ourselves

How else to be happy?
How else to be fair?

however.......
to have 7billion copies of a learning device
only to have all of them delete all they have learned.....

seems a bit contrary to the scheme of learning

I believe....THAT is what the human form is all about
forming a unique spirit
with unique manner and response
