Who's your favorite atheist?

My favorite atheist is no longer an atheist, but the next one I really admire is Richard Dawkins. I've seen him debate some Christians.

He seems like he's really good with kids. He seems really healthy mentally, seems very kind, thoughtful and rational. He appears in my opinion to be more healthy mentally and emotionally than the God I read about, especially in the Old Testament... He also seems to have a better head on his shoulders than a lot of the religious people I meet, and seems peaceful, calm, and collected.

I could never be an atheist again, It was very unhealthy for me,but I find atheists to typically be very thoughtful, and surprisingly less judgemental, less bigoted, less self-righteous, and more rational than many of the religious people I've met online and offline.

I've met atheists that follow the Golden Rule better than so many Christians, and I believe God will reward them on Judgement Day...as Christ said, "what you did for the least of my people you did for me, come inherit your Eternal reward."

I admire that atheists can show charity to people with no belief that they will receive any reward from it from some higher power.

There were many such acts of Charity and kindness that I never would have performed if I didn't think it was pleasing some invisible entity that's greater than myself.

Although I would like to see everybody (especially atheists) enlightened, I totally respect where they're at. Perhaps I'm the one who is delusional for wanting to pray all the time, and they are the ones who are sane.

I don't think they are to blame for being atheist...because to many people, it seems like God simply isn't there, that God doesn't care about them. There's so much Scandal, division, and confusion amongst religious people as well.

If God would speak clear messages that all people could hear , and if there were people doing the works that Jesus Promised his followers would do, I don't think there would be any more atheists.

Bertrand Russell, who got me off Christianity and into thinking for myself with his book.

My favorite atheist is no longer an atheist, but I really admire Richard Dawkins.

I was going to say Dawkins too, though basically he still is an atheist imo. He is a militant secularist and refuses to accept God as a answer.

He's always basically said he disbelieves in certain concepts of God.

There's simply no need.... well never mind, I suppose this is not a religious debate.

So yes, even before as a believer in God, I liked Dawkins.

I wasn't saying Dawkins was not an atheist, I was simply saying that my favorite atheist is no longer an atheist anymore, so Dawkins is my next favorite.

Nothing my eye, Something for sure
Tyson is probably the best atheist out there although he does not like the term. His goal is to spread and teach science to the world, not bash down on obvious religious fallacies.

you will get further in making a better world the way he does it.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is agnostic.

While it is unclear if Steve Irwin was an atheist or an agnostic, he was a big influence on my young life and taught me to appreciate the less loved animals of earth. You didnt need to be theistic or religious to care, or to appreciate beauty. I'm not sure if he was my favorite atheist/agnostic but he was something special.
