Who supports religious evangelism?

Yes, and the same with what is being taught to day.

What things are being taught to day, that mans teachings are teaching people.
Can you tell. What they are?

Look, I don't want to play quiz show with you. I know what I need to know. What I don't know I'm confident God will teach me when the time is right.

Or you could just Google it in the meantime, and that way God doesn't have to put it on his calendar. Help him out a little. He's awfully busy.

evangelism is a phony kind of love and ignorance fuels it. but hate without cause is the beast we see in the world from both religious and non religious people. it takes on many cloaks and avoids the real truth very easily.

I don't think it's disrespect but blind hate it is. I think the hate comes from a false sense of superiority and strength.

the only hate that is justifiable is the hate of evil and purposeful ignorance. it's a hate that doesn't resort to violence unless absolutely forced to do so.

yet dangerously enough there are those who call good evil, and evil good, and those are the ones capable of murder. that's why so many people, you have to define their terminology, because they don't speak plainly. I think goodness should be easy to understand, the truth of life is very basic. a good hearted person doesn't seek to destroy, but seeks to make right, and has a natural concern for people in general.

of course some people want to test goodness and people, and take them to war without cause over power and influence. but goodness is misunderstood as someone who you can walk all over, and that is the furthest thing from the truth.

Does anyone else find it a little odd that people of modern day U.S. get all up in arms over "disrespect" and people bucking the authorities for various, and in may cases justified, reasons - when the very country itself was founded amidst these EXACT types of displays when we declared our independence? Protest is the heart and soul of the United States.

Though I suppose people are allowed to protest the protestation. Just seems a little hypocritical at that point.

Think what you like about me, dude.
It's kind of ironic watching a Christian being treated by other Christians the way they treat non-Christians, and then responding like the rest of the world to that crap. Maybe all this doesn't have anything to do with religion, and it's all really about kids just seeing who's the biggest on the block? I used think it was about who thought they were right. Now I see more about who thinks they're the best.

I can't really support evangelism. I don't care what Jesus told people to do: the people need to know what they're talking about, and most of the time it's a bunch of ignorant nonsense.

Pat Robertson has to be one of the most outspoken evangelists.

In the aftermath of the Vegas tragedy, Robertson has this to say:

“Why is it happening?” Robertson asked his audience. “The fact that we have disrespect for authority; there is profound disrespect for our president, all across this nation they say terrible things about him. It’s in the news, it’s in other places. There is disrespect now for our national anthem, disrespect for our veterans, disrespect for the institutions of our government, disrespect for the court system. All the way up and down the line, disrespect.”

Does anyone here agree with him? I personally cannot think of a reasonable person who would.
He is what happens to you if you watch to much TV as you get older. He was nutty in his youth and even worse today. I am 62 I say turn the TV off get out, spend lots of time away from the city and towns as much as you can.. A good saunter in the woods and a weekend camping does ones mental state a lot of good. Pat Roberton idea of a tree is a 2x4. His idea of nature is its fallen and only jesus can save it. He is a virtualized dork.

Not mocking at all, and hardly adolescent. It's putting things into context from an adult perspective that casts the whole thing into a new light, one which I think accurately reflects the reality of it.

Christian A says he has the truth because he only teaches Jesus' words, and all other Christians are wrong. Christian B comes along and says the same thing, except adding Christian A into his list of everyone else is wrong but himself. Tussle occurs, "put up or shut up", then "I'm not talking to you anymore". None of this is about ideas. It's about power and ego, like who's got the biggest muscles and can press the most weights. Such a perspective make you realize the irony and pointlessness of such flexing. Neither get the bigger picture.

Most if not all people do not know this, but Christ Jesus is against evangelism.

I'm sorry....what???

You can't be serious....The Bible is full of preachers.....Noah preached to the people of his day. (2 Peter 2:5)

Jonah preached to the people of Nineveh.

John the Baptist was a preacher, sent ahead of Jesus to prepare the way for him to preach.

"In those days John the Baptist came preaching in the wilderness of Ju·deʹa, 2 saying: “Repent, for the Kingdom of the heavens has drawn near.” 3 This, in fact, is the one spoken of through Isaiah the prophet in these words: “A voice of one calling out in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of Jehovah! Make his roads straight.’" (Matthew 3:1-2; 1:1-3; Mark 1:1-4)

Jesus carried on his preaching publicly, in cities and villages, in the temple area, synagogues, marketplaces and streets, as well as in the countryside. (Mark 1:39; 6:56; Luke 8:1; 13:26; John 18:20) Like John, he did more than preach....he taught people how to worship God correctly. After he left the earthly scene his disciples continued to preach his message.

His concluding command to his disciples before he left the earthly scene was...."Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”

Matthew 11:1...."When Jesus had finished giving instructions to his 12 disciples, he set out from there to teach and preach in their cities."

Romans 10:13-15...."For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”14 However, how will they call on him if they have not put faith in him? How, in turn, will they put faith in him about whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? 15 How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent out? Just as it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”

According to the Greek translation 4339, of the Strong's Concordance.
Proselyte means = Convert.
Who else goes out to convert people, if not evangelism people.

Therefore as you can read, Christ Jesus is against those who convert people and make them twofold more of a child of hell than themselves

What utter nonsense! Many of the ones who are mentioned specifically in the Bible were Jewish converts. The Ethiopian Eunuch was one such. After having the scriptures explained concerning Jesus by Philip the Evangelizer, he then converted to Christianity. (Acts 8:26-38; Acts 21:8; Acts 8:4-6)

"Foreign residents" were Jewish converts and had protection under the law. (Leviticus 19:33-34)

Jesus' castigating of the Pharisees was a lament that their efforts were wasted because of not teaching foreigners God's word, but rather imparting the erroneous teachings and traditions of the Pharisees. You have things muddled up again.

Those that convert people, are they teaching truth of God's word or man's teachings and doctrines of falsehoods and fables?

Again you dismiss all of the preaching (evangelism) done by Jesus' disciples.

2 Timothy 4:5..."You, though, keep your senses in all things, endure hardship, do the work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry."

The first Gentile convert was Cornelius. It was the preaching work done by Jesus and his disciples that drew people to the truth. This was a work that Jesus commanded. (Matthew 10:11-15)

I am sure I do not know where you are getting your ideas....
