Questions for Jews

Veteran Member
Shalom Jewish brethren,
First off, I'm a little envious that I'm not a descendant of Isaac, the blessed chosen sacred people.

Im serious that I have a reverance for the Jewish race, culture, and history. I've never met a Jew I didn't like.

However, I've never met a Jew that thought we should stone adulterers or put people to death for working on Sabbath.

Who is the final authority that a Jew should turn to to tell us what parts of the law should be followed in our current world?

What in your opinion will the true Messaiah do to fulfill prophecy?

Do you consider Jesus a false Messaiah? Why In your opinion?

Would that make him an Antichrist?

Can I use my Israeli flag as a legitimate Hebrew prayer shawl?

Do you have a distaste for Christian Zionists? Do you believe Christians should support Israel?

Do you believe Israel should have more land (all the land that was promised to the Jews in Scripture?)

Do you believe that the creation of the state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy?

Do you believe the temple will be restored? If the temple does get restored, will there be animal sacrifice?

Why do you think the Jews have been so hated and persecuted? Do you think the New Testament is largely responsible for it?

Sorry if the questions irritated you. If you don't feel like answering all the questions, it's okay to just answer one. G-d bless you! :)

You are missing a lot of information. But to superficially answer your question, now you have.

Who is the final authority that a Jew should turn to to tell us what parts of the law should be followed in our current world?
All of it.

What in your opinion will the true Messaiah do to fulfill prophecy?
All of it.

Do you consider Jesus a false Messaiah? Why In your opinion?
Yes. He didn't fulfill any of the messianic prophecies.

Would that make him an Antichrist?[/qiote]
Why do you think this concept exists in Judaism?

Can I use my Israeli flag as a legitimate Hebrew prayer shawl?
No, its not a garment.

Do you have a distaste for Christian Zionists?
I'd rather squeeze them.

Do you believe Christians should support Israel?
They can do whatever they want.

Do you believe Israel should have more land (all the land that was promised to the Jews in Scripture?)
That's for G-d to decide, not me.

Do you believe that the creation of the state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy?
Just a beginning.

Do you believe the temple will be restored? If the temple does get restored, will there be animal sacrifice?
Yes. Yes.

Why do you think the Jews have been so hated and persecuted?
Because we don't assimilate.

Do you think the New Testament is largely responsible for it?
In Christian lands, probably.

Oh, and I thought the concept of Antichrist existed in Judaism , because I saw a Jew claim Jesus of Nazareth was the Antichrist.

First off, I'm a little envious that I'm not a descendant of Isaac, the blessed chosen sacred people.

Uh okay. Blessed? Sacred?

Also why?

Im serious that I have a reverance for the Jewish race, culture, and history. I've never met a Jew I didn't like.

There is no Jewish race.
And if you don't know a Jew you didn't like you haven't met many Jews.

However, I've never met a Jew that thought we should stone adulterers or put people to death for working on Sabbath.

Do you ask every Jew how he/she feels about these things?

Who is the final authority that a Jew should turn to to tell us what parts of the law should be followed in our current world?

The Sanhedrin.

What in your opinion will the true Messaiah do to fulfill prophecy?

The answer is in the last two words of your question.

Do you consider Jesus a false Messaiah? Why In your opinion?

Well for starters I am not illiterate.

Would that make him an Antichrist?

Not sure if serious or not.

Can I use my Israeli flag as a legitimate Hebrew prayer shawl?

wtf

Do you have a distaste for Christian Zionists? Do you believe Christians should support Israel?

Yes. No.

Do you believe Israel should have more land (all the land that was promised to the Jews in Scripture?)

lol

Do you believe that the creation of the state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy?

No.

Do you believe the temple will be restored? If the temple does get restored, will there be animal sacrifice?

Yes. No clue.

For staying Jews. 50/50

Since the OP was directed at Jews not active followers of the religion of Judaism, I'm going to give my perspective. It is not the answer of a practitioner of Judaism.

Who is the final authority that a Jew should turn to to tell us what parts of the law should be followed in our current world?
There's an old joke "Two Jews, three opinions". There is no simple answer that to me is meaningful just a list of words.

What in your opinion will the true Messaiah do to fulfill prophecy?
Every major religion has a view of the "expected one" with details unique to the respective religion. I'll leave it to practitioners of Judaism to fill in any details they chooses.

Do you consider Jesus a false Messaiah? Why In your opinion?

Would that make him an Antichrist?
Jesus to me was an incarnation of the Avatar, not the final expected one named "Kalki", "Second Comming" etc.

Can I use my Israeli flag as a legitimate Hebrew prayer shawl?
That's an odd question to me. A prayer shawl is a prayer shawl and the flag of a nation is the flag of a nation. They're two separate things.

Do you have a distaste for Christian Zionists? Do you believe Christians should support Israel?
Unquestioning support is never appropriate no matter what the nation. People should support Israel when it deserves support.

Do you believe Israel should have more land (all the land that was promised to the Jews in Scripture?)
No. Sooner or later the unholy mess in the region will have to be resolved and grabbing more land is not a path to peace.

Do you believe that the creation of the state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy?
Yes, Islamic prophecy according to my reading of some translations of the Quran The Quranic Arabic Corpus - Translation - This is disputed vociferously by many if not most Muslims.

Do you believe the temple will be restored? If the temple does get restored, will there be animal sacrifice?
The Temple of the heart, yes. Not a physical Temple. The true sacrifice is what every person makes to serve the Truth.

Why do you think the Jews have been so hated and persecuted? Do you think the New Testament is largely responsible for it?
"Christ killer" was a rallying cry for ages against Jews and was used as an excuse by some. What is in the Bible is not largely responsible.

I say blessed and sacred because God revealed Scripture through the chosen people, and Israel was the nation God made his covenant with.

I have not met many Jews irl. I've gotten to know four of them, done Scripture studies, prayed, and chanted with two of them, and know they would never approve of stoning someone for working on the wrong day of the week.

Also, thanks for the correction about race.

Peace and blessed Sabbath to you!

Also, the Israeli flag is designed after a Hebrew prayer shawl (for those who didn't know)

Which question would you like to have answered?

Whichever you like.

Or this one:

In your beliefs of Judaism, is the belief that only those who practice Judaism will get to Heaven?
We learn in Torah that both jews and non-jews alike have the opportunity to go to Heaven. One should consider that there was a little over 2000 years before the jews received the Torah and there were righteous people during this period of time too. Non-jews don't need to follow judaism, just the seven laws of noah.

There are those who say that a prayer shawl needs to be all white and those who even say should be made of sheep wool.

A belief in the law is a belief in the entirety of the law and the law is more complex than just "stone people"

Who is the final authority that a Jew should turn to to tell us what parts of the law should be followed in our current world?
There are some laws that can only be followed at certain times and in certain places. The codes of Jewish law detail much of this.
What in your opinion will the true Messaiah do to fulfill prophecy?
This is one summary of it:
The mashiach will bring about the political and spiritual redemption of the Jewish people by bringing us back to Israel and restoring Jerusalem (Isaiah 11:11-12; Jeremiah 23:8; 30:3; Hosea 3:4-5). He will establish a government in Israel that will be the center of all world government, both for Jews and gentiles (Isaiah 2:2-4; 11:10; 42:1). He will rebuild the Temple and re-establish its worship (Jeremiah 33:18). He will restore the religious court system of Israel and establish Jewish law as the law of the land (Jeremiah 33:15).
Do you consider Jesus a false Messaiah? Why In your opinion?
Jesus lacked the personal characteristics which would have allowed him to be the messiah and he didn't do what the messiah was supposed to do.
Would that make him an Antichrist?
Judaism lacks this concept.
Can I use my Israeli flag as a legitimate Hebrew prayer shawl?
It really isn't a garment (beged). See here for a brief discussion and sources.
Do you have a distaste for Christian Zionists? Do you believe Christians should support Israel?
Their support is very helpful. Do I worry that there is an ulterior motive on some level? Sometimes, yes.
Do you believe Israel should have more land (all the land that was promised to the Jews in Scripture?)
Eventually, yes,
Do you believe that the creation of the state of Israel is a fulfillment of prophecy?
Nope.
Do you believe the temple will be restored? If the temple does get restored, will there be animal sacrifice?
Yes and yes.
Why do you think the Jews have been so hated and persecuted? Do you think the New Testament is largely responsible for it?
Anti-semitism (by whatever name) predates the Gospels. It stems from Jews' being different and people not liking groups that are different. But later rejections of other beliefs compounded that.

Very good.

The Messaiah sounds truly awesome! I can't wait! That will be a truly interesting world when Israeli Government is the center of all Governments.

Do you think he will reign within this century? Will he establish the law of Moses worldwide? Will he be referred to as "the Christ"?

I await him every day but I don't try to compute when he will arrive. He certainly won't be referred to by a Greek word.

It sounds like he will really kick some butt, give the Jews the land that was promised, destroy the mosque so that the temple can be built in the right place, and in some respects have rule over the whole world.

It sounds like he will be recognized as the Messaiah by Jews and gentiles alike. Sounds great!

The State of Israel is not the future country of the Moshiach.
It has nothing to do with an "Israeli Government".

give the Jews the land that was promised

Largely irrelevant in the Messianic Age.

destroy the mosque so that the temple can be built in the right place

Why destroy? Why not integrate or rebuild?

Also the Al-Aqsa Mosque is on the outer perimeter of the Temple court.

Regarding the "anti christ", jews don't have such a thing. What we do have is the major enemy of the jews who attacked us after we left egypt and who will be destroyed, Amalek.
