Actually I was a bit unfair there, the EU does provide a bankruptcy service, their clients include Italy Spain Portugal Greece and Ireland.

Have you not heard of the WTO?

But you want more than WTO rules.

Common market =/= WTO

What do we owe for?,zilch as I see it.

Liabilities and commitments to the EU the UK has made in the past.
You signed it, you'll pay it.

Lol the EU provides a service, vacuum cleaners atm, what is the EU good for ?,errrrm let me think, nope cant think of anything.

"What have the Romans ever done for us?"

Have fun with the Americans once you left.

As expected Corbyn has orders his mps to vote tonights bill down and contrary to labours manifesto.

Fortunately there are some honest labour mps who are set to defy him,at least people can see what the labour party stands for,it's certainly not for the people.

IMO we should be feeling like

Control of our borders.
No more nonsense directives.
Self determination.
New trade deals.

I love Europe but never felt European, been to some amazing places there too, wine women but not so much song (ever seen the euro song contest lol) so I'm glad we're out and feeling positive, not every one is so here's your chance to say why.

I've spent some time in Great Britain and continental Europe, just flew back from a trip yesterday actually, likewise I love both, people and all.

But my impression is that there is still a distinct difference in culture between 'Europe' the mainland continent and ol' Blighty, without which, ol' Boney would have had us all eating snails and speaking some incomprehensible gibberish on both sides of the Atlantic by now :)

This should be a good enough reason for leaving the EU and protecting our borders.

Considering we've always been able to determine who settles in the UK but successive governments have chronically underfunded the Borders Agency, and considering leaving the EU won't in and of itself stop immigration to the UK from outside the EU which is where all these millions of rapists, terrorists etc are coming from, according to Condell, what's the point of Brexit again?

As they say, a change is as good as a rest.

We are more than overdue a change when comes to the EU.

After Brexit, we will all be able to sing, Frank Sinatra’s famous song.

If we balls up immigration then it will be our own fault.

Have you forgotten what Merkel did?

'Get lost!': Germany's 'enraged' hope to shout down Merkel

Pat knows what he is talking about.

Maybe its because we have an island mentality,I love Europe but europes not us if that make sense.
"Island" as in just Britain? As in minus Northern Ireland?

I'm getting stuff in my Facebook feed about Northern Ireland - as well as its industries that depend on an easy flow of goods across the border to feed their plants - experiencing a new push to leave the UK and join the Republic of Ireland.

In your view (or that of anyone else here) how serious is that possibility?

I would personally like that border open,as for northern Ireland that's a tough one, religious motivated politics and sectarian violence have dogged almost any peace deal or joining southern Ireland.

You would? Didn't you vote against it?

Well, maybe the economic gun the UK has put to Northern Ireland's head will be enough to outweigh the objections of the Orange Order and actually make unification happen this time.

I'm fully aware. My point is that if the choice is antagonizing religious extremists and having huge numbers of people out of work, they might choose to poke the bear and keep their jobs.
