Is Heaven Eternal?

Thief

Rogue Theologian
it didn't work out for God's Favored
He had a falling out

Therefore, there is no such thing as a secured position
Anyone can fail
even if you have both feet inside the Door
even if you are God's favored

There is no proof of a heaven.

There is a man-made concept of such a place supposedly existing.

I will address this thread as a hypothetical.

If heaven is real, I would imagine that eternity would be rather boring. After all, most people cannot imagine eternity on earth; therefore, what would they do with eternity in heaven?

The real question of eternity is what would one do with it. Imagine that.

God will destroy both heaven and Earth in the end. He will create a new heaven and a new Earth that will both be holy and pristine forever.

I assume life after death
it makes sense to me

I assume the same for many others

if everyone moves on to the next life.....that would be 7billion people
if I spend one year of time with each one
I will be busy for 7billion years

and then start over to revisit each one

Pardon me Thief, but how could 'life after death' possibly make 'sense' to you? Do you know someone who died and is now alive again? Can you describe the process of going from life to death and back again? Let's see... you say 'if everyone moves on to the next life'.... could you possibly explain to me what 'moves on' means in this context? And where is this next life that I am completely unaware of?
Assuming life after death would appear to be a contradiction in terms to me.

God will destroy both heaven and Earth in the end.
If he waits long enough, nature will do it for him.
He will create a new heaven and a new Earth that will both be holy and pristine forever.
That sounds attractive on the surface of it.

But I'm not a big fan of autocracies. So tell me, how will it be governed? What rights will the subjects have against the administration? Can they recover damages if the whole thing doesn't live up to the prospectus? Can they vote them out?

What does the fine print say?

Is Heaven Eternal?

I'll go with the 'no' answer.

Actually I believe there is a heaven (higher planes) but actually an even higher place too; realizing Oneness/God/Brahman and returning to/becoming that.

No, there will not be. Heaven will be perfect. Refer to the book of Revelation.

So Heaven will be a society based in determinism with no choice or free will? If that's the case, I'm not sure I'd want to deal with that for eternity.

Might be a nice place to visit, but I doubt I'd want to stay.

I have not ruled out reincarnation
and some of my skills work through my fingers as if I already know how
as if born to perform

but for this thread....
I believe in life after death
not much point in generating 7billions copies of a learning device ....
only to have each and every one fail in the dust

the body produces a unique spirit on each occasion
What?......no one survives the last breath?
not one?
not one chance in billions?

I think it likely that many will continue in spirit
this thread is about.....heaven

No Thief, Eternity would be in our head because time is fake, a measurement on a ruler, some scribbling on a chalkboard.:p

You have no knowledge at all to understand the difference between what was formed visibly and how we're created.
