Trumps affect on religion

I do stuff
I just got the news. My church Unitarian Universalist church which has been on the decline in recent years has had a sudden super high surge in new attendance and membership sense Trump got into office. It maybe folks who are expressing ourselves as not being Christian for the first time.

Sense Trump is Christian it maybe some who were in the Christian religion who changed to the UU church.

So what's your opinion of UUs sudden upsurge out of the blue after the election?
Explain the connection between the two. The day Trump was sworn in my microwave oven broke.

He says he is, and regardless of whether he's being sincere, a lot of Christians support him.
A lot of Christians I talked to before the election only needed to know that Trump was anti-abortion.
Not shocking, most liberal Pope I've ever heard of. Its bad for them when the Pope starts agreeing with liberals, he probably angered the conservatives when he said Trump wasn't a real Christian.

In Scripture I find there is No one particular one anti-Christ but rather anyone who is against Christ is anti-Christ according to 1 John 2:18; 1 John 2:22; 1 John 4:3; 2 John 1:7.

Yes, anyone against Christ is anti-Christ, but there is a final anti-Christ called The "Lawless One" , The "Man of Sin" .

I find it hilarious how you think that *everything* that doesn't mesh with your particular flavor of Christianity (even other forms of Christianity) is part of some vast conspiracy for global denomination.

Unitarian Universalism is simply an interfaith, non-denominational church for seekers to find fellowship while discovering their own path.

I don't think it's even considered a conspiracy, it's fairly obvious the world is moving towards and innocuous One world religion where all the people can belong to it, Jesus or not. Perhaps its just fate though and people don't even plan it, simply fullfilling prophecy towards a Global One world religion with the Anti-Christ as it's final leader.

The one world religion is the religion of money.

Interesting topic, On first glance Trumps seems to be promoting the conservative christian churches but he is also putting them in the spotlight so all can see there flaws without a magnifying glass.

Trumps legacy maybe that he brought all the fringe elements of society, in politics, religion, gender bias and race and jammed them in the face of society so they can be dealt with instead of remaining hidden behind the curtains.

Not Religious
Very difficult for a rich person to enter the kingdom of god. Impossible.

What? Me worry?
Of course. It takes some serious cognitive dissonance to claim to represent Jesus while totally failing to actually follow what he preached and practiced. Jesus spoke against being greedy, judgmental, vengeful, lecherous, egotistical and elitist, etc.

Which, of course, is all fair game to selective interpretation to support agendas.

A study done on how Catholics voted in this last election, as reported in "America" magazine (Jesuit), found that about 60% of white Catholics voted for Trump. But what was interesting is that those from that group who attended mass roughly at least once per week, only 20-some % voted for him (I can't remember the last digit).

To love thy neighbor as you would love yourself. For this is the greatest commandment of all.

Actually there were two:

1. To love God with all your heart and,

2. To love your neighbor as you love yourself.

There was nothing inherent in these commandments about doing anything else, no matter how altruistic you want to be. Even Yeshua knew he couldn't change nor save the physical world.

The big problem here is that most people have no idea how to love themselves, this was the secret in the second commandment; and you have to love yourself before you can love another. Once you learn how to really love yourself everything else falls into place.
