I want to know. Theists always claim that God has some sort of plan for life, based upon the fact that he can see the future. Do Christians and Catholics and Jews really think that God knows absolutely everything to come?

Then explain the flood. In Islam, yes the God of Abraham pbuh knows everything to come.
Then explain the flood.
At some point Allah looked down. He saw the corrupted world. Realized things were out of hand. And flooded everything.
Furthermore, if God knows everything then what reasons does he have to change his mind? If his plan is perfect then he doesn't change his mind, if he doesn't change his mind then praying for a different outcome is pointless and thus prayer is null for anything other than respect.
Because this Planet will one day cease to be, and God has a new creation to bring forth. Why in the world would an omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent Creator of Everything need a plan?
Because this Planet will one day cease to be, and God has a new creation to bring forth.
On the day when We will fold the heaven, like the folder compacts the books, and as We originated the first creation We shall return it; a promise (binding on Us); surely We will deliver. Qur'an 21:104
As we see, God promises to make this Big Crunch however not by gravity but rather by folding the Heavens like a book, that is, by the same mechanism He controls wormholes. This means that this Big Crunch can begin and end in a fraction of a second!
Actually no child under the age of puberty goes to Hell. As for who is in Hell at the moment, who knows, that knowledge is with the God of Abraham pbuh.Muslims have a rather different take on the Flood , the people that drowned, including infants in their cribs, where also thrown in hell , to scream and burn for eternity.
Quran 71:25 : Because of their sins they were drowned, then made to enter a Fire. And they found they had no helpers in place of Allah
Those people whom drowned in that flood, are they still burning at this moment in time in hell?
Orthodox ones do, yes. Time takes place within G-d, so there is no "to come" its all already happened since the first moment.Do Christians... Jews really think that God knows absolutely everything to come?
I definitely believe He has a plan, and that He knows us perfectly. Nevertheless, I believe it is an essential part of His plan that we be able to choose for ourselves what to believe and how to live our lives.I want to know. When you say "He" do you mean the god of this planet, or a greater entity? Just curious Katzpur, I know LDS Christians have a different take.I definitely believe He has a plan, and that He knows us perfectly. Time might seem obvious to us, but when you get into the realm of physics, it's anything but simple. One theory:Orthodox ones do, yes. Time takes place within G-d, so there is no "to come" its all already happened since the first moment.
the Infinite Intelligence knows everything, yes. the plan is simple.I want to know. Theists always claim that God has some sort of plan for life, based upon the fact that he can see the future. Do Christians and Catholics and Jews really think that God knows absolutely everything to come?
God of this Planet, and every other Planet, not just in this Universe, but every other Universe out there. Humans feel lonely due to Chemicals reacting in the brain, God is not a human nor does he have Chemicals affecting Him. He is a Creator, and is always creating amazing Worlds and lifeforms. It would be like giving Hollywood a unlimited budget and asking them to create make belief alien worlds with no limits on CGI and Special Effects, they could even travel throughout the Universe, navigate Wormholes, for inspiration and bring mind blowing Worlds to our screens, create all kinds of story lines and alien species as they saw fit. Well God has Billions of Angels and all He has to say is 'BE', His will is done and new Worlds created. When you say "He" do you mean the god of this planet, or a greater entity? Just curious Katzpur, I know LDS Christians have a different take.
My last post was a tad ironic, but it poses a serious question. Just how lonely must it be to be god, the Abrahamic god? It has insanity built in.

Love draws everything to it.
I mean "the Abrahamic God," the Creator of our universe and, according to LDS doctrine, the creator of "worlds without number."When you say "He" do you mean the god of this planet, or a greater entity? Just curious Katzpur, I know LDS Christians have a different take.
Yeah, it would be lonely and also unbearably frustrating, IMO. When I think of how much my own happiness is dependent upon the happiness and well-being of my two grown children, I can't even begin to imagine how hard it would be to love billions and billions of children, many of whom are not only totally messing up their own lives, but appear to be dead-set on messing up the lives of everyone they possibly can.My last post was a tad ironic, but it poses a serious question. Don't you think love is very subjective? Can you even define love?
Thanks for the clarification.I mean "the Abrahamic God," the Creator of our universe and, according to LDS doctrine, the creator of "worlds without number."
Damn right friend, especially when you know they are going to mess up their lives before they do!Yeah, it would be lonely and also unbearably frustrating, IMO.
