New End Times Countdown

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
I have a nifty piece of olive-tree wood. Awesome that you have a healthy olive tree.
Don't know when olive tree leaves are out in Jerusalem as Jesus was referring.

We need to make the connection between the ripe growing season and Jesus words of Matthew chapter 24.
When Jesus' composite sign is being completed (such as Matthew 24:14) then we know the season is ripe.
Luke 21:11 even gives us a detailed adjective by describing the type of earthquakes that would be occurring in our day by using the word ' great ' to describe the earthquakes. Even a Tsunami can be a great earthquake.

So, 2,000 years ago an apostasy set in as mentioned at Acts of the Apostles 20:29-30. Jesus connected that to genuine ' wheat ' Christians growing together over the centuries with fake ' weed/tares ' Christians until the later Harvest Time. The Harvest Time, or the soon coming ' Time of Separation ' as mentioned at Matthew 25:31-33.

So, what he has been waiting for is for mankind to populate the Earth as mentioned at Genesis 1:28 ( meaning giving us the opportunity to be born and think who we would like as Sovereign over us ), and the ' final phase ' of Matthew 24:14 with the now international proclaiming about God's kingdom government, in the hands of Christ Jesus, being the solution to mankind's problems.
And you got it all by just reading a book.

Thou art That
God is immortal ( death proof ) God can Not die. God is for everlasting according to Psalms 90:2.
However, there are things God can Not do such as: God can Not lie - Titus 1:2; Hebrews 6:18.

I never said that God can die; I said that he can choose to either exist, or not-exist, according to your logic, but that in choosing to not-exist, he is faced with the fact of his immortality. So the only way he can overcome that fact is to pretend so thoroughly that he does not exist that he himself is convinced that he is indeed not only not God, but that he does not exist at all; that instead of being God, he is The Universe in all its myriad forms, including man. By doing this, God can play all the various parts of The Universe to their fullest, without having to have himself in the way.

If you tell your children that they can have all of the toys in their room but they are forbidden to open that box in the corner, the first thing they will do when you leave is to open that box. The only reason you would have for telling them not to open it is that you want them to open it. That is exactly what God did when he told Adam and Eve NOT to eat of the so-called 'Forbidden Fruit'; God WANTED them to eat of it as he knew full well that they would. Therefore, God lied. But there is a good reason why he did. In Zen, this is called a koan, designed to short-circuit the rational mind, the goal in both cases being divine union. This is the true meaning of The Forbidden Fruit. That it was the object of Sin is a fabrication by the priests to gain control of their congregations for $$$$$.

Sure, but it's the old paradox, right?
God doesn't lie. How do you know? Because God said so (via the Bible).

Also, I can't find where God is wrong because I think we are seeing the fulfllment of 2 Timothy 3:1-5,13.
Even the adjective ' great ' is used at Luke 21:11 in describing today's earthquakes as ' great earthquakes '.
Although the Bible has many enemies (from within and without) over many centuries No one has been able to get rid of it, and No one can stop the spiritual work of Matthew 24:14; Acts 1:8 just as Jesus' recorded words said it would be done. To me that means God's words at 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 will also come true in that the ' final signal ', so to speak, is when ' they ' (powers that be) will be saying, " Peace and Security " as the precursor to the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14 before Jesus, as Prince of Peace, will usher in global Peace on Earth among persons of goodwill.

Out of all the number of trees on Earth I read that only one tree belonged to God.
By saying 'Do Not eat......' was as if God put up a No trespassing sign up on His one-and-only tree.
If you had a generous neighbor who said you can come over any time you want and have as much fruit from his fruit trees as you want, except for one particular tree, would you think ill of your generous neighbor ?

Adam and Eve were Not in one room. The whole earth was God given to them according to Psalms 115:16.
So, it was more like a whole gigantic earth-sized room filled with goodies.
They were Not wanting for food, etc. so there was No lack of food or hunger to tempt them.
Before breaking God's Law their leanings were upright and righteous meaning they could only break the law on purpose, whereas imperfect children have leanings toward wrongdoings and do things by accident, by mistake.
If you told a child he would die if he opened that forbidden box would a small child understand, whereas husband Adam and wife Eve understood they would return to dust according to Genesis 3:19.

---> The world ends every moment. <---
>>> Then it starts up again. <<<

For those who die their world ends, but because of the resurrection hope their life can start up again.
Start up again during Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rulership over Earth begins.
That is why the ' future' tense ' is used at Acts of the Apostles 24:15 that there ' is going to be ' a resurrection.......

Reading and study as in doing research like the people of Acts of the Apostles 17:11 did.
Since the Bible is not written as a novel is, then we also need to study and read the Bible by subject arrangement.
A comprehensive concordance can serve as a quick locater of verses and passages putting the Bible in alphabetical order for us by subject or topic arrangement.

Jesus taught us to pray for God's spirit to help at Luke 11:13 B
Read and meditate on what one reads according to Psalms 1:2
And like the Ethiopian official of Acts of the Apostles 8:30-35 who asked Philip (follower of Jesus) for help.

You know we're in the games section, right? I'm not willing to go into a serious conversation with an adverse opponent in the games area. The way that you view resurrection is not funny.

Uh...'games'...'winning over death'.....'resurrection'.....yes?

It's just that the Christian is playing one of the life-games but he denies it. It's the Religion Game whose goal is Salvation. They are gambling on the prospect that the self is actually real, and that it must be saved to receive a Reward called Paradise for being good, while trying to avoid Punishment in some eternal Hell. What they fail to realize is that this 'self' they fight tooth and nail to save will be a completely out-of-place 'has-been' by the time it comes to enter either Heaven OR Hell, a fictional character concocted to live in THIS world in time and space, that is to say, in the dead past, and not in the living present where Paradise actually is.:D

You don't understand that this story is only an ALLEGORY, do you? The Tree is only a symbol. There never was a real tree with real fruit.

Allegory - Wikipedia

Writers or speakers typically use allegories as literary devices or as rhetorical devices that convey hidden meanings through symbolic figures, actions, imagery, or events, which together create the moral, spiritual, or political meaning the author wishes to convey.

Your logic is seriously flawed: a perfect child cannot break the law on purpose. An imperfect child would be defective, and subject to destruction, as was the thinking of Adolf Hitler who saw Jews as defective and therefore expendable.*

If you told a child he would die if he opened that forbidden box it would not matter: his curiosity would overcome any fear, and he would wonder why he was forbidden to open that box. He would see no reason why he should NOT open it. Adam and Eve saw that God was not looking and would not see them eat of the Fruit. Add to this that the serpent told them that the real reason God forbade them to partake of the Fruit was because their eyes would be opened and they would then 'see as God sees'. Here we have a tidbit of the original story left over and brought over into the corrupted version, as this 'seeing as God sees' is none other than Higher Consciousness. This is the gift of Divine Union, freely given to man. The Christian story of The Fall is a corrupted one in which the gift of eternal life is conditional upon the shedding of divine blood as payment for their so-called 'Sin'.

The 'Forbidden Fruit' as food to satisfy hunger was never the issue. The Fruit is but a symbol for God Consciousness, or Divine Union. IOW, it is an unconditional gift to man for man's spiritual nourishment and ultimate happiness. But to get man to eat of it, God, (in this allegorical tale) had to set up a kind of
piece de resistance, which acted as a force against Reason, because if Reason were the primary force in question, Adam and Eve would of course NEVER have eaten of the Fruit. Of course God absolutely knew they would eat of it. Of this there is no question. But the mechanism to dissolve Reason had to take place, and that mechanism was DESIRE, which, of course, God made certain of that the Fruit was attractive enough to cause them to partake of it. But just to make sure they would eat of it, God reappears to them as a serpent to tempt them and coax them to do so. Such is the extent and perfection of God's Love. Come, now. Do you really think a real all-loving God would be so nasty and conniving as to set up a totally unfair sting operation that would bring such dire harm to his precious children just to test them? If that really were the case, then God should simply throw in the towel, admit his mistake, and forgive his innocent children.

*The problem with this kind of thinking is that it sees man (and The Universe) as an artifact; a 'made thing', as a potter makes a pot. Indeed, God is often depicted either as a potter or an architect, and man as clay made into a pot. Pots are made, and therefore can be destroyed. Man is not made, but is grown. But the true nature of man can never be created nor destroyed. It is, as the Buddhists tell us, 'The Indestructible Sunyata'.

I think Jesus did Not view the physical resurrections that he performed were funny.
ALL the resurrections Jesus performed were only physical resurrections, so Jesus was Not an adverse opponent since Not all go to heaven according to John 3:13; Acts of the Apostles 2:34.
Where are also the non-believers but in the same stone-cold common grave for mankind which includes those who drowned at sea.
Spirit creation is Not made of flesh. At Psalms 22:26 please notice it mentions about a heart living forever.
The heart is fleshly, Not part of a spirit creation, so in order for a heart (physical) to live forever it would have to be present in a fleshly physical body. To me that is in harmony with Jesus' promise that the meek will inherit Earth.
Inheriting Earth means being here on visible planet Earth, and Not in the invisible spirit realm of existence.

I question your expertise in the area of humor, and for the record your view of the resurrection is not really something that belongs in this section.

Is the end times countdown a sense of humor.
End times countdown is more in connection to destruction for the wicked, those who bring ruin to earth (literal and moral ) will be destroyed forever Not resurrected.

End times countdown is a gag that is pulled so many times a year that its a joke. I've heard of countdowns every year of my life since I was a child. The people always take themselves seriously, always insist its Biblical, and every time its a joke. Every time.

If your eyes were really opened spiritually, you would see that they are one and the same. But because they are not yet opened, and because you are still in the world of belief and duality, you see them as separate 'realms'.

Even if every time it's wrong that does Not mean the Bible is wrong, but the guesses are wrong.
In other words, although people's guesses or calculations are wrong, that does Not make Scripture as wrong.
Jesus did say at Matthew 24:36 No one knows the day or hour, but the world troublesome scene shows we are in the end times of badness on Earth as described at 2 Timothy 3:1-5,13.
To me Matthew 24:13 is what needs to be taken seriously:
We need to either endure to the end of one's life, or endure to the end of this bad system of things when Jesus will do the separating work of Matthew 25:31-33,37.

:D I do love the fact that this thread has attracted genuine Eschatologists, chill out and make some plans beyond September dudes!

Why shouldn't genuine ' wheat ' Christians make plans beyond September because I find the figurative humble ' sheep ' of Matthew 25:31-33,37 can remain alive on Earth, and continue to live on Earth right into the start of calendar Day One when Jesus' coming 1,000-year governmental rulership over Earth begins. Their plans include being part of the meek who will inherit the Earth. An Earth when Jesus, as Prince of Peace, ushers in global Peace on Earth among person's of goodwill.

By "wheat" Christians you mean Christians that subscribe to your denomination right? Not those other damn "Christians" who have got it wrong?
This is in the jokes section mate, that is all I meant.
