What would you think/expect if you read the following?

"We are an inclusive dogma free community exploring personal spirituality and fostering compassionate conscious living."

Oh. Cool. Except, IMHO, anything that's communal by definition diminishes the personal. I think this is meant more for validation than elucidation ('hey look at us...we have no rules..except that there can be no rules..) type of thing. Everyone has to find their own truth, and usually it is a solitary endeavor. Again, just my take.

Many thanks on any feedback about what comes to mind from reading this!

Tasha, I would be willing to bet it's not dogma free, as I've yet to encounter anyone without some dogma. So right away, without even knowing any more, I'm suspicious.

Gnosticism and metaphysical speculations. At least if you refer groups considering world views. Truth is exclusive, dogmas should be both.

What the above is IMO opinion is the most dangerous methodologies possible.

I'd say the OP reads like a flyer for a religious group, or commune, where the emphasis is on slightly new age hippy thinking, to attract "free spirit" types. Apologies if anyone thinks "hippy" is a pejorative term, not meant to be, just a descriptive term that gives people a flavour of what I'm talking about.

I think you need a comma between the words "inclusive" and "dogma free". maybe even hyphenate "dogma-free."

Having been around when the original "hippies" walked the earth I can tell you that most hippies simply wanted to get high and get laid--in no particular order.

Star Trek
I reiterate.....seriously....

Star Trek was one episode after another
one series after another
all about exploring new civilizations
while at the same time ...being civil

which means.......spiritual drives that keep in check
all of the differences that would keep us apart

maybe most of the participants here are not Trek'ies...
but I just love the stuff

the writers were soooooo clever
they understood what we humans find interesting.....'fascinating'
and display such notions through characters we can relate to

I dare say.....the 'dogma' of Star Trek is spiritually .....'fascinating'

and thanks for the 'funny' approvals
