You have vestigial muscles that moved the whiskers of your ancestors

Why are you calling my muscles vestigial? Is that an attempt to hurt my feelings?

Nice link though.

I don't have any vaginal muscles. Sheesh. Sounds like the ultimate cultural appropriation to me.

My car has parts originally made for another model and year.

Evolution and design both exist and are essentially inseparable.

New models of species are not individually designed similarly, but we are capable of designing a program similar to evolution.

An intelligent designer would at least eventually see the advantage of leaving much of the work to an automated process.

The bible does describe direct creation of species before direct creation of Adam, but it is more correctly described as re-creation after the earth "had become" waste and ruin.
It does not state that the earth was created 6,000 years ago -nor does it state that the species created just before -or even including - Adam were not based on previously-existing species.
It does not state how quickly the earth -which the bible does describe as existing long before in other places -became waste and ruin -or even to what extent. It does not state that it was completely devoid of life -even what science would describe as "human" life.
Adam is described as the first man in biblical terms -not scientific terms.
Eve is described as the mother of all the living -as Adam and Eve were the first to potentially gain eternal life.

True

Just like a car, a plane, a computer, or any sophisticated functional design one can think of..
It's hard to imagine how or why anyone would design different body plans for life- while going out of their way to avoid using any similar features, or allow any adaptation in a dynamic environment?!

I'd think the opposite observation would be far more supportive of blind unguided mechanisms

If a species like the flying fish might one day achieve true flight, I might start flapping my arms wherever I go for the benefit of future generations.
Humans with wing-arms would be cool.
:)
I used to have a lot of flying dreams in which I had to flap my arms to fly.
Maybe that was evolution telling me we are destined to have wing-arms.

Very interesting, but with a sample size of only 20 cadavers and results of only 35% of the tiny sample size exhibiting the possible muscles, it is a little hard to say what--if anything--this really means biologically, but it does raise the specter of politicization of science (a lowered bar for sample size and results to pack some data into a popular, if sometimes controversial, preconceived theory). When I was engaged in research at the National Institutes of Health back in the late 80s, we could not have been published in any respectable journal--or allowed to make such definitive conclusions--based on such little data.
