Hello, I'm a theist and atheist at the same time

oranssi

Yes, that is how I define myself. I'm both at the same time, therefore I could as well be none.

I don't believe in believe. That being said, I believe that we are all transparent to Nature which we humans make part of. All things known and unknown are plenty as they are, so much so that everyone is biased to conserve their own identity that is the manifestation of that which is stranger than we can suppose.

But one thing I know for sure!
I am an animal, I have the same necessities as other beings and there is the unfathomable mystery.

And at this constant contradition lies the conservation of infinity.

Besides that all is poetry, and I like poetry because knowledge without emotion (hence biased) is sterile and has no use.

I'd go with the none option if I was you. If you think you've transcended such labels, that makes a degree of sense. But to apply two contradictory labels at once appears needlessly convoluted. Just my opinion, obviously.

I look forwards to you offering a different perspective on things. This makes some sense to me.

Welcome to RF, @oranssi .

Out of curiosity, are you aware of the concepts of apatheism and ignosticism?

I am now that I wikipedia it, ahah...
My position is a bit complicated to describe, yet completely simple.

I'm sure that I will have time to explain my point of view when in the right circunstances, will arise with the different discussions.

While I don't believe for a second that one can be a theist and an atheist at the same time, I am a big supporter of embracing uncertainty, which is a fancy way of saying question your certainty on things that have no simple answers.

Welcome to the nuthouse we call RF.

Mooo!

Welcome. I'm kind of on a similar boat with the thiesm. I'm an agnostic atheist and soft polytheist. I don't literally believe in gods but I believe they exist as a part of nature, however I don't claim to know that is a fact. There are many others here who have unique perspectives on things like that.
Have a nice day, Oranssi. :)

Too complicated for me!

Here is some simple 'Hello' advice:
Chew eat bite at least ten times. No swallowing whole, because it is bad for the digestion. When in doubt, cook it. If it moves flush it. When in Rome drink bottled water. Airtight jeans are bad for your prostate if you have one. Suspenders are much healthier I think, but consult your doctor. If you don't like raisins, then don't put them into your cookies.

You're an animal, huh? Can you get one of your non-human animal buddies to post intelligently on here?

Welcome,

I look forward to you explaining how you can have a belief in a God and no beliefs in any gods at the same time.

Don't forget the redundancy... "therefore I could as well be none." The hint might be on my signature :) Well enough teasing, I will soon open a discussion in the other threads. Thank you for the welcome.
