I want to give my children a Satanic Baptism when they're born but I saw a thread here once on if giving children a Christian Baptism is moral and that's it should be up to the child. The satanic Baptism is here: Satanic Baptism

It says, "The Satanic baptism is the beginning of protection and guidance from Satan and his Demons who will also direct the child to make the most of his/her special gifts and abilities."

I won't force my kids into Satanism and I don't care what their religion is, even if they're Christian.
But wouldn't it basically be the same for satanic Baptism that it's WRONG to do it without their permission or something?? I don't know I just wanted to hear others thoughts on this

Does a Satanic Baptism induct the child into the faith?
No, as the link says: "The child should be brought up in the old ways and to honor Satan and his Demons. At puberty, he/she may perform the dedication of his/her own free will. This is when he/she is old enough to make the decision on his/her own and to fully understand. At this time, he/she may choose a magickal name."

Satan and His Demons do not force anything on anyone. People come to Him on their own.

A lot of parents baptize their kids who don't even end up following the path the parents walk. I've been baptized in a Christian church, but I never considered myself Christian. In fact, being a Satanist, you could say I even negated my own baptism.

You can baptize your kids into Satanism if you want, and you also don't need to force them to become Satanists for life, because a baptizism doesn't really initiate one into a religion. Only the person themselves can choose to truly initiate themselves into a religion. I actually respect people who recognize that, even if they originally baptize or "initiate" their kids into their own religion. The only wrong thing to do is to force them to conform to your beliefs, because that's harmful on an emotional level for some people, and being a Satanist I would expect that to go against your own values.

That's just my viewpoint, though.

I wouldn't think permission is the salient consideration here, given we all routinely do things without the permission of others (especially when it involves persons that we do not believe have sufficient agency to grant meaningful permission, like children). You do what you want to do, ideally because it is in the best interest of the persons involved. The importance of this sort of rite of passage is more for you. The infant will have no memory of it.

Yes, it's wrong.

Really..?

It's the family's religious beliefs, and their right to protect their child (with an action that literally does no harm) as they see fit.

So now what makes it wrong?

Shame on you.

Satan isn't called the adversary for his good works

No one should have anything to do with Satan and his demons. Read the book of Job sometimes.

Children are always brought up according to their parents' beliefs. Whether this involves some ceremony or not is pretty irrelevant.

If you let them make their own minds up when they are old enough to do so then it makes little difference what you decide regarding this.

I would say it's wrong to raise kids in a stupid neo-Nazi cult that thinks all the old Gods are Satan and demons and that Satan is a blond, blue eyed alien living on on another planet that uses telepathy to communicate with humans. That's raising your kid to believe in stupidity and lies. Nothing wrong with general theistic Satanism but Joy of Satan is total garbage and a cult.

I think you're missing the obvious if you think you aren't already baptizing them by rearing them. They imprint off of you. There is no escaping that unless you send them away for someone else to train. You want to get them a Christian nanny? Ok, then it makes sense; but you may as well baptize them Christian then. Buddhist nanny? Ok, then you may as well give them orange robes.

They're going to make the sign of the cross with their fingers and toys too. Can we interpret something by those events?

Could just as easily be an inverse cross or Odin's Cross. People see what they want to see.
Kinda hard to make an Odin's Cross with just your fingers, but I take your point. Splashing some water and saying some "mumbo jumbo" that the kid won't understand seems hardly fair as a hardcore requirement for being in the religion.

And in fact, Satanism doesn't require a baptism to be in the faith.

Lawl Joy of Satan lol. I can't take anything they do seriously considering the nature of the 'organization' if you can even call it that.

That aside, I kind of like the idea of a Satanic Baptism, but not for kids. Hm... I'm gonna steal that idea and plan my own Satanic baptism...
