. Most people didn't think she was a great candidate like Obama was, but that's not why she lost.

What were the other reasons why she lost?
Well obviously you did not go to the link since it answered your question.

The longer someone is in the politics game, the more vulnerable you are to politics. Most people didn't think she was a great candidate like Obama was, but that's not why she lost.

I think the margins were close enough that you could blame any single of many factors, but being a terrible candidate, only slightly better in some people's eyes as Trump is a very large reason why many people didn't go out and vote blue when they would of for nearly any other candidate, giving Trump the final edge he needed to defeat her.

Really, it was the perfect storm and timing. Trump winning was extremely close.

The real issue with Hillary is that she is another Corporate puppet. Liberals, and all Americans in general, have so had it with corperate interests because they have so screwed over our economy and anti-consumerism has grown so much, especially in the last 10 years, that a lot more than usual people voted for Trump thinking he would 'settle down' or take the advice of experts. I remember people arguing stuff like that.

It makes sense in context why there are so many remorseful Trump voters... they thought he was just getting people riled up in the election, like all candidates, but many were surprised at him really doing some things and he then went after issues important to them (healthcare seemed to be a big one for many). To them, there wasn't much a choice, but they knew Hillary, they knew her well and they did not want more of that. So they took a chance and voted Trump, only to later regret it.

So yes, in a very real sense her being one of the worst candidates ever, only marginally better than Trump, is why she lost. If she was anyone else all the other factors wouldn't of been enough, considering how close she was anyway to winning. That alone was one major thing the Democrats could of controlled, things like the Russians, Right Wing media or whatever they couldn't, so that was really a HUGE fault of the DNC.

It's kind of funny though, I think both candidates are comparable, and yet the GOP hates Trump and the DNC loves Hillary. Go Figure.

Well, at least we now Democrats/liberals like us got the Justice Democrats movement... if you really are for progressive ideals you might want to check them out, rather than standing by shills like Hillary Clinton. They even have some people running for local positions. There is a woman in my own state set out to challenge our sitting Democratic governor, mostly on a jobs and environmental focus. We have had a lot of bad environmental disasters the last few years and lots of economic hardship. So my state like many places has some real momentum with the movement.

One could argue that both parties need some big reforms and updating, now that I think of it, but I don't know if what the GOP would have in mind would be better or worse, all things considered.

Joe is the leading expert on being a not very good candidate.

I don't agree with this I kinda like Biden, but it gave me a chuckle.

No, she wasn't.

Still better than Trump, though.
At this point I think it'd be more reasonable to, rather than make a list of better alternatives to President Trump, to just make a list of things that could be worse than a President Trump.

I have been staring at this for the last ten minutes trying to put something down, and have failed to find anything, but I'm, like...80% positive worse alternatives exist.

Clinton won the popular vote over Trump, but a different candidate would have probably done even better. That's not shocking, however. What's shocking is that so many people lead such dull lives they're still obsessed with Hillary Clinton. Now, that's shocking!

Some say Pence. If we include non Politicians who have strong political views I can think of a lot, but otherwise... not really of currently high profile politicians.

I think though what makes Trump not the worst is that he is pretty bad at his job and so can't effectively get a lot done. So in that way he is a little bit of a blessing in disguise, when compared to some other possible alternatives that were in the primaries.

Hillary is their straw-man.

Well guess the former Vice President has finally came forward with the reason the Democrats have lost. One of them was "Hillary was not a great candidate".
Joe Biden never thought Hillary Clinton was a very good candidate - CNNPolitics.com
Trump takes his electorate for dupes. Wins the election. Quickly puts noose around his neck. Starts tightening it: Inch... by... inch... by... inch.

What's a poor flimflamed, disillusioned Republican to do?

Oh yeah! resurrect his old nemesis and start ragging on her. That always makes Republicans feel better: When your candidate leaves you up to your neck in doo doo, Denigrate a Democrat.

Whatever gets you through the day, esmith, :D Whatever gets you through the day. :p

As for myself. Love it!.... Love it!.... Love it!
