To quote the Senate Majority Leader, "We believe that the people should have a say first"
Tom
They spoke.
You lost.

I'm still waiting to see if I won.
But let's not wallow in Trump.
There are plenty of threads dedicated to him.
The thread is about Chinese products, what they are, why they are the way they are, & the new jetliner.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
If you produce an inexpensive but low quality tool that's prone to break after prolonged use, the response would be along the lines of "What a piece of crap, but whatever, it was only a few dollars." However, if you have a passenger jet that's plummeting from the sky, the response would be quite different.
Never.

They have the best skilled pilots that underwent rigorous training with state of the art technology.

In fact, here's footage of the latest test flight itself of the airliner by one of the most impressive pilots found in China ....

And this protest relates to Chinese airliners how?
Your dramatically different standards between jets and presidential candidates.

You'd rather fly Boeing products, despite knowing that a few have crashed. The Chinese jet has never crashed. But you don't want to fly on it because of the history of Chinese tool manufacturers that you have experience with. This is all in stark contrast to your support of a presidential candidate with no public service record, but a lengthy history of shady and downright immoral behavior. Rather than the candidate whose track record includes the baggage that comes with making mistakes along the way.

That's what this has to do with your otherwise frivolous OP.
Get used to it. 3.75 years to go and I am just honing my style.

Me father was a fan of Horrible Freight. He'd wax poetic about how great it was to
regularly go there to return failed tools. They'd replace them with no questions asked.
I prefer tools I don't have to return.

It reminds me....
Long ago, a co-worker extolled the virtues of VW Bugs for being so easy to fix
when they break down on the road. I'm lazy....preferring cars that don't do that.

Let's hope that as your anger fades, things become what they are, instead of Trump.

Dang....I really never expected this mirthful thread to put so many noses out of joint.
Accusations of racism.....fulmination over Hillary's loss....offense taken on behalf of Chinese products....
RF is full of surprises.

But returning crap is part of the American Way of Life.

Yeah....that's too bad.
I find that I'm happier having less but better stuff.

There are some things I will buy from harbor crap but it's definitely a risk.

The worst thing I bought were long drills bit that could not drill into wood. Go figure...

I've bought some things there, & never felt the need to go back.
Some of me favorite hand tool brands....
SnapOn
Knipex
Wiha
Malco
Lenox
Megapro

Even if some are made in China, the quality control is great.

Im weary with electrical tools so I don't buy that from HF. I thought you can't mess up with simple mechanical tools like drill bits but I was wrong there.

In general, I don't think I've had a huge problem with Chinese products. At one time, "made in Japan" made people think of cheap, worthless products, but they've improved immensely, as have Chinese products and technology.

I've been reading about Chinese cars lately, and they're making some inroads into the market.

et's hope that as your anger fades, things become what they are, instead of Trump.
But as time goes on it all becomes about Trump.
Maybe you will stop referring to Hillary, since I have. You are the one who hasn't gotten over the rigged election.

Think of me as you, @esmith, @BilliardsBall , and @habiru , only with a better grasp of news, history, vocabulary, and a venomous tongue.

Your grammar is better than mine. I will give you that.
And you look better in a kilt. So Wirey says. :)
