Question for Non-vegetarians.

If Man killing a Man is Crime.
Than, why Man killing Animals isn't a Crime ?

Just because they cannot speak, or report somewhere ?
Or you think that they don't want to live ?
Or you think that they don't feel pain when you kill them for the sake of taste, or hunger ?

Answer me.

It's a crime to kill man because man was made in God's image. I'll say it again. It's not because you'd be killing a man, it's because you'd be killing something made in God's image. Animals are not made in God's image.

I suppose so that God can use the metaphor Lion of Judah and make us feel afraid. But there is a command of God that if a beast kills a man the beast must be killed.

Perhaps, loin also thinks the same..
What ?
That we loins are made in God's image, and other animals like cows, beasts, deers etc aren't. Funny:)

New discoveries have shown the plants feel pain, want to live as well. So I guess you'll just have to not eat anymore.

People need to eat and where you live determines what you can eat. Now today because of technological advances we can have food all year long but that wasn't the case in the past and animals filled in the non-growing seasons. The problem we have is that these animals have been domesticated and cannot exist without us. So either way they will die off. So you wish to allow them to slowly die off of starvation or other predators as long as we don't kill them. Perhaps you wish for us to start projects to enable the animals to go back to the wild. Instead of feeding our own we owe it to these animals to retrain them so that they will have a fare shake at living in the wild. Farmers should be paid to feed and untame these animals even if we can't feed our own. Maybe we should just let them all go and let them die off this generation.

Okay, finally you want to say that beasts and all these animals don't have the books/commands written by God ?
Is that ?

Of course, new discoveries shows us new things everyday.
But, that is not my question.

My question is.. Why eating animals isn't a crime ? rather than, Why it is legitimate to eat animals ?
Its not a debate between vegetarian and non-vegetarian.
You are answering something else.

Non human animals are not given the same protection under the law, nor are they recognised as the same as humans under the law. Hence it is not and will not (in the foreseeable future) be a crime. At least not recognised as murder. It's also why you can't marry non human animals or why beastiality is (usually) illegal.
Granted I do believe in harsh penalties for those who torture or otherwise harm animals for their own amusement. That's just sick.
I am also not a fan of factory farming or other practices that cause extra harm to animals.
But we're omnivores. Some of us like the taste of meat. In the food chain something inevitably has to die in order for something else to eat and survive. That includes plants and grass. They may be able to feel pain and grass actually releases a distress chemical when cut in an attempt to get protection. Hence the smell of freshly mowed grass. It is literally impossible not to hurt something to eat, maybe if you only eat tofu? I dunno. Nature is cruel. We try to be humane about it, which is more than any other animal in existence has ever done. Hell some wild carnivores don't always eat what they kill. Sometimes just torturing prey to death as a bit of "sport."

Because originally man had a need to eat animals as plants could only be grown in certain seasons and could only be stored for so long. Animals could be kept all seasons. Because man needed these animals they found life simpler with man and became domesticated. While today we don't need the animals to survive it would be far more criminal to just stop caring for them and releasing them in the wild.

What exactly is the point of your question? It sounds like you might be trying to bait certain religion(s) for their views between man vs other living creatures.

Why isn't it a crime to kill plants and marine life? Do you eat and use products? Everyone contributes to the waste that's devastating other forms of life. Do you live in an area with buildings and roads that benefit yourself and your community? Every day you reap the benefit of and contribute to the community you live in which eliminated the ecosystem that existed there previously.

Humans have spread across the planet like a bad staph infection gone unchecked and you're wondering why they're eating meat vs vegetation? Ok.

Of course, that's what the man thinks.

Now, do you also think that animals don't think, or they don't have emotions ?

If you don't mind, I'll try to answer your questions with a question of my own:

Do you think it's okay to kill plants for food?
