Just wondering if you could share your thoughts about Catholicism, if you have any. :)

They have some antiquated rules that have led to immense moral shortcoming in the church. And, the way they handled the child sex scandal was absolutely unforgivable. I like Pope Francis, and I genuinely think he's doing the best he can, but he's got a lot of cleaning up to do, both in the Vatican and throughout the international church.

In short, they aren't a good moral example for their adherents.

Yeah! Pope Francis is a bit limited with what he can change as well, because change often means the Church has to admit it's been wrong for the past 2000 years.

They help to keep the poor, poor. Too many of their clergy are pedophiles. They hoard great wealth when they're supposed to be doing good. Their anti-contraception stance helps spread horrible diseases and contributes to the population explosion. Ultimately, their morals are built on a foundation of human sacrifice. They are misogynistic. In many parts of the world they are legal tax-dodgers.

Dislike. I couldn't come close to liking or being indifferent towards such an organization.
I also don't hold hate for many things and don't think the church is worth the energy hate uses up.

I thought maybe you were on something.
Sorry for misunderstanding you.
You are too deep for me.
Jesus loves you :)

Excuse me but how can Jesus can actually love her? You are pronouncing his name like he is "The Greatest Name." Wasn't Jesus just a man who walked this earth and ate food like regular people?

Not your average Mormon
I neither love nor hate the Catholic Church. Actually, if I had to choose between Catholicism and Protestantism, I'd pick Catholicism, hands down. Although many people may be shocked to read this, I believe there my Church (LDS) has a lot more in common with Catholicism than it does with Protestantism. And one positive thing I can say about Catholicism is that I seldom hear a Catholic tell me that I'm not a "real Christian" or that I'm "not saved." Whether they're right or wrong, Catholics seem to be a lot more comfortable in their own skins than Protestants (especially the evangelical ones). And I've got to admit, I think Pope Francis is one awesome guy!

I wouldn't even dare start a thread called "What are your thoughts about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?" (aka, inaccurately, though, the "Mormon Church"). I can't even imagine the kind of hate posts a thread like that would elicit.

Jesus may love us, but the Church is another thing entirely. :D

Anyway, organized religion is for the birds and you can get everything you want on Amazon without all of the baggage and one-ups. You don't have to deal with the pedobears, and certainly don't have to deal with John Q. Public, or waking up early on Sunday when you could have been drunk on Saturday night. (Really, the best time...)

According to Christian Theology, God loved us so much that He became one of us, shared in our misery, and died for us

And I prefer Mormons over Evangelicals.

They often accuse us Catholics of being the whore of Babylon and Mormons being unsaved. It makes me ill! My least favorite faiths are the ones that are most judgmental and condemning!

I say follow your heart. Your heart has lead you to Mormonism and I hope it spiritually satiates you. I have nothing against your Church. I think God wants you to be Mormon.

I find it admirable that you dare to be different in the face of mockery. :)

Since God is invisible and He and the truth are hidden, your faith has just as much credibility as mine. I think He has many paths to the same summit. :)

God can do whatever he wants to. If He wants to share in human weakness, he can

I thought God was a Supreme Being free of human limitations, needs and wants. You are chatting about Jesus as if to him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth.

I thought God was the Hidden One.
