What is wrong with smashing the idols?

RESOLUTION

It astounds me that with multiple people who utilize and have idols (and even those that don't) explain just what an idol is and what it means, we still have this level of complete misunderstanding.

In the heart is where all idolatry takes place.
You can love money more than God. So therefore there is no level of misunderstanding. Abraham could have idolised his Son.
You see what I mean about loving something more than God. But we should be careful not to replace our love for God with that which has given us.

I believe Isaac was about 35 years old according to some Rabbi's when his dad tried to sacrifice him.
I bet a lot like myself saw a son of about 12 years of age. We hear many things but the main truth is that Abraham didn't just love God because of what he had promised him. He recognised the true value of who God as our Father really is. His Glory as
our creator and the beginning and end of all things. Job very much like Abraham except Satan took everything God had given him. We see God faithful when it comes to Job not allowing Satan to take his life.

When you go through hard times we see Abraham and Job showing us that God loves us and cares for us.
We need to trust him even when our heart hurts and is almost breaking.

All well and fine, but that's not the kind of idols that we're talking about.
First the idols are conceived in the hearts, then its replica is made in stone etc. If one gives good and reasonable arguments against the idols carved in the hearts, and demolishes/deletes them from the hearts like Abraham and or Muhammad.

Those idols didn't belong to no buddy. Apparently, people started to put idols inside the Kaaba for over many of years. So, basically they belonged to the government of the city. Once the government was captured, Muhammad destroyed the idols.

I suggest with all sincerity that you rethink your tactics for trying to educate others about your religion. If you think that people should not worship idols, I suggest that you simply supply the reasons why you think people should not. By asking if people think Muhammad was right to smash the property of other people you give the impression that your religion has absolutely no respect for the property rights of other people. It makes it sound as if you support those idiots in ISIS who have been criminally destroying ancient monuments and relics in the Middle East.

So unless it is your intention to present your religion as a backward and ignorant religion that constantly oppresses people's basic civil rights, you might reconsider your strategy.

Presenting Islam any other way is like really, really hard though. Because it is exactly a religion that constantly oppresses people's basic civil rights.

I actually do, and that is the only thing I like about them. They also want to destroy the Black Stone.

The greatest example of idolatry is the number of people who worship false gods or follow pagan belief systems the worship of the male forces of nature.
It can be clearly understood in that for Jews and Christians they worship the creator the true God.
But for all the rest they worship what the true God created and the fantasies of their own hearts. That which they can see, smell and touch.

I believe you can make anything the centre of your universe but truth and God are what created them.
Stop telling people what to believe, bro.

Stop telling people what to believe, bro.
This does not in any way or means equate with telling people what to believe.
It is history and simple and plain. An explanation of how text books actually describe the god ba'al worship and the Jews who kept committing idolatry when they
went to these gods. You will find that ba'al means lord and it referred to many gods especially the worship of the males forces of nature,
If there was one god it might be used for as a name Bel would be the one but no real connection.
However it was not telling anyone to believe in Ba'al or the male forces of nature.

I know what Ba'al means.

But your post was demeaning towards Pagans and it wasn't very nice. It is arrogant to say that you are the one who worships the true G-d and they are effectively all wrong. Let them worship as they please and leave them alone.

sub-title: Which God or no-god is Truthful? (reference post #701 to #703 )

No-God cannot create anything from nothing. Right? Please
The truthful God is ascertained from the attributes of a religion (or no-religion) given in its scripture that are the verities or His attributes reflected in the nature, created by Him. Please
