I'm not sure if I do or not. I used to live in a home where I swear there was a ghost. Someone else saw the same "ghost" I did on various occassions too. Described it to a "t". Also, I have had friends like in the same neighborhood that I lived in before and stated that they would see ghosts or have just an odd feeling within the home.

I recently (very) had an "experience" if that's what you want to call it.
What makes you hesitant to believe?

What makes you hesitant to believe?
I guess the reason for my hesitation is that either I don't want to believe it (probably due to a fear or just being uncomfortable) or /and because sometimes I just wonder if it's paranoia. I wonder if my mind/eyes are playing tricks on me due to others saying things.

I think my only way to reference that is when someone says "there's a spider on your arm" I immediately jump and brush my arm - although I haven't actually seen the spider myself. . Maybe that was a bad example but it is what comes to mind.

I'm in all honestly, probably more of a believer than a non believer of ghosts. In most areas, I prefer to believe in the unknown or the assumed than to not believe - except for God. I am more of a non believer than a believer.

How do you think you can test claims that leave no physical trail?

I don't believe that there is a way to physically test something that everyone would believe. For example, if there were an object set on a table and a ghost/spirit/whatever you would like to refer to it as, were to knock it off.. there will always be someone skeptical of that even if it were on an unaltered video or even witnessed with their own eyes. People believe what they want to believe. God would be a great example of this.

I was speaking to someone recently about what I felt within my own home. They shared with me that in some religions, it is believed that there is another "realm" I'm going to use that word. They stated that there is another life form, another human race, believed to be here on earth with us. We just can not see them. There was more to that story as well - how you could beckon and "capture" one and it would essentially be your "slave". however, if you are to beckon one and not capture it, then it would haunt you for the rest of your life.

I am curious, if there are such things as ghosts, what attracts them to certain people? If there is a ghost in my home, why did it come to my home?

To me, I like to believe (even not denying I could get scared poopless). This is evidence in favor of an afterlife which I find more appealing than a no afterlife scenario.

But the issue of ghosts existing is bigger than just your or my personal experiences. In the overall of thousands and thousands of stories from others I have to believe something akin to ghosts exist.

That's not a bad example and has some validity but it hardly explains the great number of stronger cases I have heard.

I think we need a more 21st century God concept. The Abrahamic religions don't fit the times but I also don't think atheism is really correct either.

That was my point. There is no way to test for ghosts that everyone would ever accept. In the end, we each have to form our own opinion.

Yes, that would be another example.

I'm not too sure about that one.? I do believe there is an afterlife/astral realm where entities exist but I have never heard of the 'slave' thing. Maybe they were referring to what some people call elemental entities (fairies, gnomes, whatever).??

A common thing is for ghosts to return to a familiar place (past home) and try to relive their lives and events. These types just need to move on and get on with it. They need to be told 'Hey, get an afterlife!'.:)

I like the thought of an afterlife myself. And hopefully, we are able to take lessons learned from the previous life and apply them.

I would agree with the concept of them returning to a familiar place, for my previous home. However, this one is new. So I'm not sure what would have been previous, as far as the physical home. I'm not sure if I mentioned this before - and I dont want to go back and read, lol, but a friend said that when you "leave your home unattended for a period of time" a ghost will come in an occupy it. Which is what may have brought the spirit to my home recently. Also the fact that I have been going through a very negative time in my life creates vulnerability which allows a spirit's presence into your life/home.

What are your thoughts on that?

Well, it is possible but not likely your house was built over some previous cemetery or something traffic?

If you are vulnerable I have heard that entities can try to feed of your energy too.

I don't know for sure of course. But what type of phenomena have you experienced? That might give me some new thoughts.

If Ghosts or spirits of the dead do exist and I believe they do, they are locked in another realm or dimension that is not now open to humans. However, throughout history there were eras, or times that these spirits can and have visited the material universe, ie humans, but with limitations. Science tells us there are dimensions or 'places'. However our science can not muster empirical proof that these dimensions, from one extra dimension to more than twenty, really exist. The reason for no proof they say is because our tools of physics are too crude etc can so they can not yet define, contact or make tangible the dimensions. Needless to say the therefore theories and hypothesis of the extra dimensions do they meet the criteria for scientific for methodology etc. So I do not understand why the religious idea of spirits living in a supernatural realm or dimensions is any different than a make believe scientific dimension or many dimensions.

NEED PROOF THAT GOD EXISTS? TRUMP WON, GOD BLESS HIM AND HIS PRESIDENCY.

I'm not really sure if it was or not, but I have been interested in finding out that information. I'm not sure where to look though to see if it was an old cemetary or not.

I can say that I have been vulnerable the past few months. My life was turned upside down so to speak. I question one thing, if it is fed upon vulnerablility or a negative "aura" would these spirits be positive or negative spirits? meaning, are they there to help or protect, or are they there in a dark way - to feed on the negativety and use it for an advantage to infilterate more. The movie "ghost" comes to mind. LOL

But what type of phenomena have you experienced?

I was out of my home for a few days, upon returning, there was a strong sense that I was not alone in the home, or that someone had been there. the second night I was back, I got out of bed and walked into the bathroom. I fully believe I saw a white glowing light to my left side at the door of the bathroom. When I went back to bed, my dog was sitting and watching at full attention towards the bathroom. I dismissed my dog. About 20 minutes later, I felt as though there was someone or something in the bathroom, or that I was not alone within the home. I went back into the bathroom and opened the shower, looked behind the door, and went through the closet. Upon not finding anything, I went back to bed, again my dog did the same thing. After being in bed for another 1/2 hour, and asleep, I woke up and it felt as though there was someone outside of my bedroom. Again, finding my dog staring out of the bedroom door. I went through the home and checked everything in all rooms and found nothing.

The next day, I was washing a cup. After turning off the water and nothing on within the home (television or radio) I heard something that sounded like the front door lock being turned. I left the kitchen area to look at the front door and found the lock infact locked. However, my dog heard the same thing and was again, standing at attention towards the door as though expecting someone to walk through the door. I checked through the windows and nothing/no one was found. Also, I am the only person with a key to my home.

That evening I decided to get some fresh air and take the dog for walk through the neighborhood. I constantly was looking over my shoulder with the feeling that someone was following me. Although I never saw anyone. When I went to bed that night, still fully awake, it felt as though someone had gotten into bed with me. Only way for me to explain this was when your spouse or significant other gets into bed and you feel the bed move and you may roll towards them or the center of the bed. I did just that.

Every day since then, the sensation that someone is there has been on and off. Day and night. maybe I am going crazy, however, when I leave the home everything seems normal.

I do stuff
If ghosts do exist they must be extremely shy. Not one has ever made the talk show circuit, written a book, been interviewed by Barbra Walters or taken the Amazing Randi’s challenge. What’s up with that?

Very interesting but of course we can't know for sure, which is the frustrating part. One thought is that this potential entity hasn't actually done anything harmful, Your issue may be more discomfort with having an unknown presence about (we can all appreciate that feeling). But has the entity tried to invade your emotions? ; like directly causing sadness, fear, anger or other negative emotions?

ever consider they need energy to just even semi-appear to our senses very temporarily? Perhaps consider their native state is not our physical-plane,

Yeah, that's what it is. Send one to me, I'll give him/her a energy drink.
