Hello Everyone! My dad and I and how all started.

Cerridwen33

Curiouser and curiouser!
Hi! I have been here before in 2010 under another username. I will introduce myself again:
For several years my darling and most beloved father suffered from Alzheimer's. In 2009 we have to put him in a nursing home as it was very difficult to take care of him at home. It's only mum and I and we didn't want to take this decision. But he wasn't there for long. In December 2009 he passed away. God (my family is Christian) took it from me on Christmas Eve! I never prayed to Him again. I still believe in a way, but we 'parted company'.
I was interested for a while in Wicca, neopaganism, the Law of Attraction and many things.
Now, I define myself as a Pantheist, Taoist philosopher and believer on the Universe.
I am a fan of Celtic and Nordic mythology, fairies and all creatures of nature that all our ancestors believed on. That's why my username is now that of a Celtic Goddess.:)
I hope I haven't bored you. I am here to discuss respectfully about religion or anything. Respect on someone else's points of view is priority for me.
My kindest regards to all of you! xxx

No, I don't learn any Welsh, though I am a fan of Languages... Are you Welsh?:)

Ah well! Eh, kind of. I was brought up in Wales, in a Welsh-speaking farming area, but my family isn't ethnically Welsh (mi padre nacio en Argentina!).

You can get solace by knowing that the date of birth of him is not in December.

I know...the thing is, in my country we celebrate on Christmas Eve. Mum came from htal. with the bad news and all the family was expecting us to sit at the table and be merry. I cannot stand Christmas since then...:(

How can anyone be merry when such things happen. I could not have either.

And welcome back to RF.

Hello @Cerridwen33 ,

I'm sorry about your father, but glad for you that you were able to spend time with him toward the end, and that you remember him fondly. I'm certain that he would be happy of that.

I look forward to seeing you about these forums.
