I am generally happy with my life, despite it going from bullying of me as a short skinny
effete boy child at school, to the pebbles on the path to adulthood, or should i better
describe them as rocks and cliffs ....
A matter i think of perspective and attitude, if we tend to look for positives then we use
the negatives to move us to better and happier ... you can choose and build your own
life ...

IE: being bullied led to hiding in the library, reading, and becoming a nerdy geek who achieved
great academic growth ...

and on, every rock a challenge ....

Without god this life in senseless for me
That's why I'm trying to be a mystic and in this way there are lots of problems and difficulties that I must tolerate
There is no other choice
Happiness is only with remembering God
Without him it's an illusion

Intersting statement, do you think a Happy fullfilled life is a gift from God, only given to believers in him?
Or do you mean that your life can only be happy through him, and all Happy aspects without him in your brain are Illusion?
Excuse me I only want to understand your statement better.

According to our religion those who are very happy in this life and have no any problems they are away of God's mercy and grace
Simply because by problems and difficulties God will raise u and love u
And another point is happiness can be gained by unbelievers but it's temporary
For example the person that thinks happiness can be achieved by having good job or husband or children and so on
If he or she looses them what he or she can do????
Only those who are gnostic will never worry about their loss

And there is a rule in mystery that says
The more u are close to Allah the more u will face problems and difficulties

And it's reason is clear because with these problems and difficulties man sees himself alone and suddenly puts all of his trust in God and forgets everything except him

But if you have gone through many difficulties and reached a point a fullfiled Happy life don't you think you have earned it?
- thinking about myself and my path to this point I have reached now-

The more u are close to Allah the more u will face problems and difficulties
That Quote is new for me. I Ever thought it is like the nearer to God is to have a fullfiled life because dificulties do not touch you any more, like some Christian comunitys see it.
If he or she looses them what he or she can do????
In my path I myself am the creator of my life, when I lost something I love, I have done somthing false :)

If someone reaches this level that fears Noone except Allah and in every aspect of his life sees God's hands he has already gained salvation and in this level death or life being wealthy or poor or eminent or anonymous are the same to him
But if he fails to reach this level everything that he has gained is subject to be lost
A gnostic has no anything he sees everything he has a property that belongs to God even his intelligence and imagination are powered by God
This person never thinks that I'm the only one that created his life

That statement is popular among gnostic
It's poem is
هر که در این بزم مقرب تر است جام بلا بیشترش می دهند

And notice that Allah says in his book that
If belivers were strong enough in their beliefs I made unbeliever's houses of silver
This a reason u see some countries are like what u said

An easy Question.

I want to know If you are happy with your life like it is, or if you want to change it in more than only some points.

And in that correlation I am interested what path /Religion/Mythology you are walking...

Why the Question?
As born with Asperger Autistic I have reached a point Where I really love my life. I have a Husband a Stepdaughter, a little house, an interesting Job with contact to many people and I can stand it. I have intersting Hobbys with many contacts not only to known people but also to foreign and it works I have fun ....

I have reached my goals with magic and the last steps into this wonderful life as Setian, as follower of the Left Hand Path. I have activ created my life, my Environment and I transformed myself so that I can do much more things than people thought I could ever reach when I was a child. I was always intelligent but the Problems with social interaction where high....

I created my life and there are only little details I think about working at :)
I am interested how others see their life and if and what influence the Relgious beliefs or mystical paths have.

So how is your life?

That's a good question! in the relative scheme of things, I don't have a darn thing to complain about- but like most I still do.

It's always good to count our blessings, and yes we can do this in a way-independently from religion, but for me, gratitude, giving thanks for all I have been given- helps me appreciate everything far more

I think this is the main reason religious people tend to poll more 'happy' but it's just my theory

Personally, I am quite happy now after a long battle with schizophrenia.

I put it down to a lot of reading and meditation. Didn't happen overnight!

If you wanna good book about happiness - try "Happiness" by Matthieu Ricard.

All the best!

I am happy with my life half the time; right now being one of the happy times. My attitude seemingly switches without reason or rhyme, however, and though it may very well not be the case, it feels uncontrollable. But the sad times make my empathy stronger all around, and for that I am grateful.

As Ive said before, the fast way is an Illusion. I have no Experience with schizophrenia but as Autist I can retrace the difficulties to find ways out to a nearly normal life. Meditation is allways a good way to study the self and to unravel knots in the aware and unaware Parts of the self.

I Never read Books about Happiness, but it may be interesting to read... maybe I can find a German Translation :)

Very inteesting explanation Thank You for sharing.

To Thank is always a good Idea Equal if you are part of religion or not. if you do not define a Deity or god as origin of your blessings, there are always people, writings thoughts which inspires you to go forward and reach the life you wish.

I think this is the main reason religious people tend to poll more 'happy' but it's just my theory
Interesting Theory, we will see what the poll says at the end :)

I feel very happy. Especially now that summer is almost over :)

Actually, my religious (dis)beliefs did not seem to affect my happiness. I would say I am as
happy today as I was when I was a Christian, and the transition to my current naturalism was an exhilarating path.
