Horror of the House of Hades

I've been wanting to write a fictional novel revolving around a concept "The Horror of the House of Hades". What evil drove a family of seven, a loving mother and father, grandmother and grandfather, and three young children all of whom moved into an old three story gothic mansion with a dark haunted history of human sacrifice, devil-worship, and suicide, of which some rooms at times reek of the smell of death; to also kill themselves in an act of mass suicide? The four adults were found hanging by the neck from the third story balcony as you entered the atrium. And mysteriously the walls of the house would drip and stain black with "blood"? The chanting voices and horrific screams that echo throughout the house on certain nights, and other strange phenomena. Is the house alive? Possessed by all that is evil; it feeds off the pain, misery, and death of those who inhabit it. How could this ever be their home?
