Pagan Goddess Prayers

Thinking about making some kind of Pagan Goddess prayer group as I'm making a faith Journal, so if you know any goddess prayers you can put them here if you want. Also, if you find any Sun Goddess prayers please post them here as they are extremely hard to find (because most pagans see sun as Male)

Here's one I learned from Tumblr a while ago:

Freyja, Freyja, come to us,
Freyja, Freyja, Vanadis,
We call for thy power, come thou to us,
Freyja we're calling, calling for thee.

There will probably be some for Amaterasu since she's a solar goddess. Since Belisama is Celtic I doubt any prayers were written down for her but you could probably make your own.

This would be my past comment on this DIR; but, I wanted to give you a book I own. I don't believe in the goddess. I am more centered to the earth and environment prayers and interconnection through "her" (since she gives birth) and ritual. A Pagan Ritual of Prayer I used to use often. There are more Pagan prayers than general ones. Some to many common Pagan deities others related to the the moon phases and times of day.

RigVeda has a hymn about Sūryā, wife of the sun God. It is a beautiful hymn and is still recited at the time of every Hindu marriage. It is at least 3000 years old. Here are the last verses:

42. Be ye not parted; dwell ye here reach the full time of human life.
With sons and grandsons sport and play, rejoicing in your own abode.
43. So may Prajāpati bring children forth to us; may Aryaman adorn us till old age come nigh.
Not inauspicious enter thou thy husband's house: bring blessing to our bipeds and our quadrupeds.
44. Not evil-eyed, no slayer of thy husband, bring weal to cattle, radiant, gentle hearted;
Loving the Gods, delightful, bearing heroes, bring blessing to our quadrupeds and bipeds.
45. O Bounteous Indra, make this bride bless in her sons and fortunate.
Vouchsafe to her ten sons, and make her husband the eleventh man.
46. Over thy husband's father and thy husband's mother bear full sway.
Over the sister of thy lord, over his brothers rule supreme.
47. So may the Universal Gods, so may the Waters join our hearts.
May Mātariśvan, Dhātar, and Destri together bind us close.

Oh yeah, I've got a book on rituals & prayers for Demeter called Mysteries of Demeter by Jennifer Reif and it's a book on Goddess thealogy . Here is one addressed to Demeter Besought by Prayers (aka 'Antaia'). It's a bit long winded so it could probably double as a song! :)

Mother of Fair Blessings,
When sorrow or lack has flooded the soul,
Then we cry out for your aid,
And You, oh loving and generous Mother,
Are there to embrace the tender heart,
Amid the storm,
Small tender crocus rise from stony soil,
The light breaks, As pale lavender petals open to winter sun,
And we may begin again.

Antaia,
Great is your strength and compassion,
Into your hands I place my needs and sorrows,
And there,
In the fires of the divine crucible,
Shall transformation take place,
As all the while, good and holy blessings
Fall radiant about my shoulders.

I listen, and hear Your song flowing across my soul,
And in the magic of its power and sweetness,
I rise on the broad winds.
With your wisdom,
Come and bless the patterns of my life,
Bringing peace, well-being, and joy to my soul.
Hail Demeter Antaia,
Beloved Mother of Prayers Answered.
So be it.

Oh, there's also bits from the Æcerbot!

Erce, erce, erce, eorþan modor!
Erce, erce, erce, Mother of Earth!

(No one's 100% sure what "erce" means.)

Hal wes þu, fira modor!
Beo þu growende on [Frean] fæðme,
fodre gefylled firum to nytte.

Hail to thee, mother of mortals!
May you grow big in [Frey's] embrace,
Filled with food for mortal use.

I love ancient innuendo...

To be fair, the only text of the Æcerbot we have comes from a Christian source, so the scribe probably had to use innuendo to keep the church happy. Maybe the original spell was more explicit. :D

Incidentally, the reason I put Frey in brackets is because the original text reads "God"; I kinda feel like Frey is the best choice of replacement, since I know the genitive form of "Frea", and the word means "Lord" and so could technically be substituted for just about any male deity, whether Ing himself, the Christian God, or Tiw (whom I feel would probably be the most appropriate, being a Sky deity and all).

A little (authentic) Egyptian prayer to Nut:
O Great One, Sky, you created power and strength, and filled every place with your beauty.
All lands belong to you; you hold the earth and all creation in your embrace.

Part of a New Year prayer to Mut:
Good Mother, be good to me.
Healthy Mother, be healthy for me and make me endure.
Peaceful Mother, come in peace.
O holy Mother, be holy for me this year in every difficulty and challenge.
