I think about God all day

mostly every moment I'm not distracted I'm wrestling with concepts, my beliefs, the world, but all centered around God.

I've never met anyone like me and often I feel alone. That the people in the bible are my friend. I relate to them much more than anyone else alive.

The bible seems to explain human relations better than anything or anyone I've experienced so it draws me.

I guess at the end of the day I've learned to live at peace with this, but thought I'd share here to see if others are like me.

I feel the same. Replace god with Gohonzon and how you view the Bible, replace Bible with The Dharma. At the end of the day, I feel peace too knowing the Gohonzon (Lotus Sutra) is not outside of me and I can trust my mind when I am one with The Dharma. The Buddha, bodhisattvas, votaries, and lay Buddhist are all friends the exact same way as we see and want to help with those who suffer.

I have a small group of friends that share in faith. We havr one crucial difference but we all come back to the Gohonzon.

Thats my foundation. From there I learn more and talk with my ancestors as The Buddha and Nichiren talks about offerings and prayers to them.

I assume we are alone in one way or another because spirituality is also an individual relationship with god or however one sees their faith. When we have no family, church, friends, etc left who do we have to depend on?

What faith do you believe in? There is no one near you that shares faith?

Hi thanks for sharing.
I don't feel comfortable at church. So I study on my own or read different perspectives the help shape my understanding.
Basically my belief is Christianity. God the all powerful decided to create, and we are all expressions of his creation.
You spoke of suffering and I am somewhat familiar with suffering in your faith.
In my faith suffering is dealt with by not resisting what this world is and transcending our spirit beyond that even though our body will continue in temptation.

What things does the op wish to debate about?
Hi pudding, do you like to debate?
How about that the teachings in the bible are more helpful and relevant than anything else written in relation to understanding human nature and human relations.

That seems to be what I'm into these days as a topic of discussion.

I think you need a hobby or some new reading material. I suggest Lord of the Rings.

I don't have an end of days.....

my memory goes back to the moment when I was a little boy
sitting on the floor with my arms on the window sill

it was late at night and I was watching the light show we don't see in the day
and playing with the mosquitos on the window screen. ....poking at them as they poked at me

my dad worked in the gas station next door and was using a blow torch
stars over head
street lights
car lights
lightning bugs

and I said to myself.....if God created all of this.....
He must truly be wonderful

a chill ran over me in spite of the warm summer breeze.....

I have not slept well.....since then

but I don't really mind

I could trying to psychoanalyze you if you're game and show you how the bible can explain more about you than you ever knew.

That could be fun.

And would be pseudoscience.

Because I can do the same with just about any other Mythos. I've heard the exact same claims made about the Mahabharata and the Kalevala.

Because that's what Myths do: they're the greatest expressions of ... us.

I'm like this, minus full allegiance to the bible. I didn't choose my Custom Title on a whim, I truly believe there is Divine Revelation all the time. Some messages I gravitate toward or find more reasonable and/or more inspiring than others. Some doctrines, for me, explain relations far better. What rests within, trumps them all. But to each their own.
