I look at other sites to see what other things it says. It is hard to know what is real info and no real.

Really? In which grade and in which class and in which school did you learn that "whenever the bible says about that kind of stuff I believe it was just made to control people"? Can you get your money back?

Are the scholars? Where did they learn that the bible "just made up things to control people"?

See here's the thing. We can only speculate about the original purpose of the bible. Some people feel that any holy book, religious organization, or even religion as a whole is just set up to control or regulate people. As for it being made up, of course, if one is not Christian, one will believe that it is made up.

The definition of murder include more than the Christian version in my view. AHIMSA against all living beings and the environment is advocated in Puranic traditions.
Murder includes plants and animals too. But because of our food chain, we tend to look over them but show lamentation.
Also, 4 million were slaughtered in the battlefield of Mahabharata, most of them were good guys... Yet they had to be killed.
So morality is perceptive in all cases.

Whenever the bible says about that kind of stuff I believe it was just made to control people. Before my husband and I got married we had sex before marriage and nothing happened. Tons of people have sex before marriage. A lot of christians and catholics do. Some even have babies before marriage.

Are you saying it is justified because a lot of other people do it? For you sake I’m glad a lot of those other people didn’t jump off a bridge.
