The Hebrew translation used the word 'helel', St. Jerome replaced the word helel with Lucifer. Helel means ‘shining one’.
Isaiah 14:12: "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning?"
Revelation 22:16: "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright Morning Star."

The last and first chapter of Revelations are blatant forgeries; in the last chapter he bows in front of the angel again, he has just been told not to in chapter 19.

Yes. And “the bright morning star” is also planet Venus.

In the Greek translation Lucifer is “Eosforos” (eos = light + foros = bearer) which is a very direct reference to the planet Venus, also known as “Avgerinos”.

Here in Greece, the morning prayer in church is still called “Avgerinos”.
