It isn't OT vs. NT. They go together. Read the book of Hebrews to discover how the two are connected.
Old Testament vs. New Testament is legit comparison because the view on God is completely different, they don't really go together - people forced that thought.
God truly is jealous and will punish those who make other equal to Him.
Good try but God will also punish false prophets. Also see John 3:17-18
This is strictly a Biblical debate so please keep other books out of it. Thank you.
With that I agree, false prophets will be punished. And I didn't go off-topic anywhere with other books.
That's true but I sensed that you were headed in that direction... Certain "prophets" are not mentioned in the Bible.
An eye for an eye was the progressive principle of lex talionis. It served to constrain and, in many cases mitigate, the punishment available to the legal authorities. As such it served as an egalitarian advancement. In particular, " Eye for an eye " versus " Forgive your enemies "

That which is written by men I'm not much interested in to be honest.

Certain men wrote the books you believe. Contradict yourself much?

Then you should toss out all the holy books, as they were all written by men.
