Well, blue is emotional in itself, but calm, serene really. Um, yellow is bright, upbeat, happy. Green is...content, home/family centered, healthy. Red (early twenties red was big with me) I'd say impulsive, outgoing, passionate, sexual. Purple (comes and goes) is more spiritual to me, brings to mind times of spiritual awakening and also of honoring death and the moving on of loved ones. I tend to identify with and am drawn more to a particular color just depending on how things are going for me. What's going on in my life and how it makes me feel. Right now I'm liking aquamarine. For me, the symbolism of blue really depends on the blue - the name "blue" encompasses a wide variety of colors. I might get calm from a sky blue, but not from a stormy gray-blue, or a night blue-black blue. Blue can be frigid, cold, callous, depressing on top of being hopeful, calming, soothing, and peaceful.
I think the aquamarine means you should take a vacation somewhere tropical. They have water that color.

I'm the same. I don't have a single favorite combination, but it's the combinations that I like. The exception is, I like bright red on women. For some reason, I associate it with assertiveness and passion for life.
I like plaid! I can't choose a favorite but plaid is close.
