Lets assume you have a dream....

....and in that dream a prophet or a saint or a god of your religion ( lets say you're a christian and jesus speaks to you In that dream ) tells you something. How would you value that experience?

I agree with Tulmah. If you are into deciphering your dreams then you should be able to tell which one is you and what you are telling yourself.

this time in the dream is a prophet/god of a religion different from your own, ( lets say you're a christian and Muhammad speaks to you In that dream ) how would you value that experience?

Usually you cannot dream of something that you do not know about. If so, then chances are that the image came to you from something you saw on TV, video, or read in a book, magazine, etc. If the dream happened withing 2 hours of falling asleep then you can usually discount it as residual sensory imagery; if it happens immediately before you wake up then chances are it has real meaning and one should ruminate on it; if it happens because you have to go to the bathroom, then you have probably gone beyond the sexual urge and are opening up to spiritual experiences.

Elias Howe saw a dream

A possibly apocryphal account of how he came up with the idea for placing the eye of the needle at the point is recorded in a family history of his mother's family:
He almost beggared himself before he discovered where the eye of the needle of the sewing machine should be located. It is probable that there are very few people who know how it came about. His original idea was to follow the model of the ordinary needle, and have the eye at the heel. It never occurred to him that it should be placed near the point, and he might have failed altogether if he had not dreamed he was building a sewing machine for a savage king in a strange country. Just as in his actual working experience, he was perplexed about the needle's eye. He thought the king gave him twenty-four hours in which to complete the machine and make it sew. If not finished in that time death was to be the punishment. Howe worked and worked, and puzzled, and finally gave it up. Then he thought he was taken out to be executed. He noticed that the warriors carried spears that were pierced near the head. Instantly came the solution of the difficulty, and while the inventor was begging for time, he awoke. It was 4 o'clock in the morning. He jumped out of bed, ran to his workshop, and by 9, a needle with an eye at the point had been rudely modeled. After that it was easy. That is the true story of an important incident in the invention of the sewing machine.[4]

Now, Same incipit but this time in the dream is a prophet/god of a religion different from your own, ( lets say you're a christian and Muhammad speaks to you In that dream ) how would you value that experience?

First make sure you have a correct understanding of what a prophetic dream could be. The protocol is never detailed in even the Bible.

I can give some clues here. A prophetic dream is basically made up of two parts, one in the dream the other in reality. They cross reference each other and confirm with each other such that you will know who is acting behind the scene.

It is thus a mistake to apply the common dream experience to that of a prophetic dream. That's where your problem is. Moreover, you may be able to quickly recognize the pattern when you are given not just one dream but a series of them under different situations.

I somewhat agree with you.

The false dreams are like courtiers of Pharaoh told him:

[12:44]And the King said, ‘I seein a dreamseven fat kine which seven lean ones eat up, and seven green ears of corn andsevenothers withered. O ye chiefs, explain to me the meaning of my dream if you can interpret a dream.’
[12:45]They replied, ‘They are confused dreams, and we do not know the interpretation of such confused dreams.’
[12:46]And he of the two who had escaped, and whonowremembered after a time, said, ‘I will let you know its interpretation, therefore send ye me.’

The dreams were true though as they were interpreted by Joseph- and exactly that happened in the real world. Please

Like the inmates of the prison saw true dreams where truthful prophet Joseph/Yousuf was lodged while he committed no crime:

[12:37]And with him there entered the prison two young men. One of them said, ‘I saw myselfin a dreampressing wine.’ And the other said, ‘I saw myselfin a dreamcarrying upon my head bread of which the birds are eating. Inform us of the interpretation thereof; for we see thee to be of the righteous.’
[12:38]He replied, ‘The food which you are given shall not come to you but I shall inform you of the interpretation thereof before it comes to you. This is on account of what my Lord has taught me. I have renounced the religion of the people who do not believe in Allah and who are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
[12:39]‘And I have followed the religion of my fathers, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob. We cannot indeed associate anything as partner with Allah. This is of Allah’s grace upon us and upon mankind, but most men are ungrateful.
[12:40]‘O my two companions of the prison, are diverse lords better or Allah, the One, the Most Supreme?

Like Joseph saw a dream:
[12:5]Remember the timewhen Joseph said to his father, ‘O my father, I sawin a dreameleven stars and the sun and the moon, I saw them making obeisance to me.’
[12:6]He said, ‘O my darling son, relate not thy dream to thy brothers, lest they contrive a plot against thee; for Satan is to man an open enemy.
[12:7]‘And thusshall it be as thou hast seen, thy Lord will choose thee and teach thee the interpretation of things and perfect His favour upon thee and upon the family of Jacob as He perfected it upon two of thy forefathers — Abraham and Isaac. Verily, thy Lord is All-Knowing, Wise.’

And it was a truthful dream that got fulfilled. Please

That's more of a problem-solving dream, though, not a prophetic one.

Why We Dream: Real Reasons Revealed
by Rachael Rettner, Senior Writer | June 27, 2010 03:21am ET
BOSTON – The slumbering mind might not seem like an apt tool for any critical thinking, but humans can actually solve problems while asleep, researchers say. Not only that, but one purpose for dreaming itself may be to help us find solutions to puzzles that plague us during waking hours.
Dreams are highly visual and often illogical in nature, which makes them ripe for the type of "out-of-the-box" thinking that some problem-solving requires, said Deirdre Barrett, a psychologist at Harvard University.
Barrett's theory on dreaming, which she discussed at the Association for Psychological Science meeting here last month, boils down to this: Dreaming is really just thinking, but in a slightly different state from when our eyes are open. [Why we dream is just one mystery of the mind.]

Unless there was some way of verifying that it was more than just a dream (i.e. the revelation of detailed information that I could not have come up with on my own or if others had identical dreams on the same night), I'd treat it just as that. I have had dreams with supernatural beings in them (Jesus included), but I never thought of them as anything more special than my other dreams.
