I don't have time to teach you basic science. All three are "discrete" in that we don't know how they "work," but that they seem to align with field theory. Invisible packets of energy. (Currently)

The operations of all three are very well understood through the measurement of mathematical modeling.

Haha.....oh I now get it....you are talking about THOSE "discrete" packages that work in a way that the modelling predicted based on the metaphysical Aether, but because they are invisible, the application was not testable in the field. I suspect DARPA knows more though...;)

Careful, he is only here to cause trouble and see if he can get you banned when you insult him.
Hey buster...for someone who says he has me on ignore....you've been doing a lot of indirect sniping about me lately...why don't you just say it to my face...outhouse! :p

gnostic

The Lost One
You can be a wife and not a mother. You can be an agnostic and not an atheist.

And you can be a mother without ever being a wife. And it is the same for a man: a husband whose is not a father, or being a father who has never been married.

So it is not so hard to being interested in reading gnostic literature, without being an actual gnostic. This is what ben_q can't seem to grasp.

I'm not being obfuscating; I've made myself clear that I'm an agnostic, and yet Ben, and now you, are stating that I'm an atheist.

Facts, there are more polar bears on the planet than ever before. We are gaining polar ice. Scientists move sensors into hotter spots to skew data.

All this said, science said we were having a cooling period several decades ago. "We are headed for another ice age". Back then, people said the "facts" where indisputable.

Not surprising to me that with decades of relentless propaganda in the media, in the education systems, and the scientific establishment, with dissenting views being attacked and suppressed, that many would accept this unprovable theory. Still, it is heartening to note that millions have not ignored the evidence for a grand Creator.

Now you're asking too much.
Think of it as this strange stuff which is detectable, but other than that, not understood.
I'm sure it doesn't taste like bacon though.
there is no test for all of that missing......energy or matter.
I have seen the documentaries.......
and the people that claim it's all real....have only equations.
the 'proving' hasn't happened.

Lot's of rhetoric and believing....but no proving.
it's all faith in the handiwork dealt on a chalkboard.

now if you are willing to allow a perception followed by a line of thought.....
I might 'believe' you.
but you cannot demonstrate the darkness.
you cant put such things.....into the light

Gnostic:

sounds reasonable, but if you lack a belief in a specific god, you're an atheist regardless of your investigation in gnostic literature.

Reverend Rick:

Polar bear population has nothing to do with global warming. Scientists are the ones correcting popular opinion on levels of ice in arctic regions and polar bear numbers. And the hard data shows the earth is warming rapidly and in accordance with CO2 gases in the atmosphere. And global warming might actually throw the earth into an ice age, and then think how much fun you can have mocking people who spend their lives studying scientific facts.

Rusra

There is no conclusive evidence for a creator god. If you have such evidence, you are about to become the most famous person in all of recorded history.

Thief

The reason we had to give dark energy and dark matter names to call them by is because they were so obvious and predictable. They had to name obvious, present forces. They are precisely as detectable and known as gravity.

Meh....by this reasoning, there's no such thing as magnetism because you can't feel or see it.
We know it only by observing effects on other things.

Relativity works this way too.
You might say it doesn't exist because you can't feel, see, taste, smell or watch it.
But your GPS wouldn't work without it.

Haha,,,,I think it is the other way round...if atheists were satisfied in their belief there was no God....that would be it,,,what possibly more could they learn about God to make there belief more satisfactory....I think they can only keep their belief afloat against the inherent intuitive subconscious knowledge that God is, by repeating the mantra....
Did you ever stop and think that you could maybe might possibly be, and I know this may be a real shocker for you, a real serious blow to your ego, even a teeny tiny itsy bitsy minuscule bit wrong?
Or are you as content with me claiming all theists are just like Westboro Baptist Church?

I cannot help but wonder why you would have to dismiss anything said by a non-believer if your belief was strong enough to stand up...?

Out of curiosity, why are you not satisfied with your belief in god?
I think you can only keep your belief afloat against the inherent intuitive subconscious knowledge that God is not, by repeating the mantra god is....

So yeah, it is sad that your faith is so weak and fragile that you cannot allow non-believers a voice of their opinion....

From the closest thing we have to scripture (The Restaurant At The End Of The Universe).....
“The History of every major Galactic Civilization tends to pass through three distinct and recognizable phases, those of Survival, Inquiry and Sophistication, otherwise known as the How, Why, and Where phases. For instance, the first phase is characterized by the question 'How can we eat?' the second by the question 'Why do we eat?' and the third by the question 'Where shall we have lunch?”
Most atheists are at the 3rd stage.
I just had turkey dofu rice cabbage chicken soup at home.
So my big question for the day is answered.

Btw, it's only the desperately poor heathens who languish in stage 2.
