Anyone know much about it? The research has been showing little for me. (I'm a terrible researcher lol...)

All I can tell you from reading is "do not use the Book of Veles!". It's a forgery. It's not you, there's not a whole lot about it anyway. Wiki has a run-down on the deities, but not a whole lot else.

The only information I have is sourced from the Wild Hunt - there is an active Slavic Pagan community in Russia. Some of the articles on them:

Russian Orthodox Priest Seeks to Outlaw “Neo-Pagans” | The Wild Hunt
Russian Pagan Community Cleans Up Vandalized Sacred Stones | The Wild Hunt
Ukrainian Idol to Perun Destroyed by Vandals | The Wild Hunt

A lot of the stuff is just not going to be available in English. I know that recently, there was a fire at an archive that housed ancient Slavic texts - no more news has come out of The Wild Hunt on the event.

I read a book by a Ukrainian recently: Lesiv's "Return of the ancestral gods". I got the impression that the Slavic pagans are rather "folkish", so I doubt that they're interested to talking to those who don't speak their languages. On the other hand, the Ukrainians are not really reconstructionist: the largest group there are monotheists.

I was born Russian pagan(have no idea why people call it paganism). want to know something about it? ask me. hard to find some info in English. book of Veles is not a forgery - https://veles.bz/articles/ekspertiza-velesovoj-knigi-s-pozitsij-dnk-genealogii-klesov open in google chrome and use page translator. by the way- this is not whole book, just fragment. they're not interested to talk, because very hard to explain meaning of many words to not Russian speaking person. why? really hard to translate to English info , that pagans getting from ancient source: English Alfabet is fonetic, like modern Russian, but old "Russian" ( actually- slovene language) where is all information is coming from, image containing matrix. example - abcdefg - is abcdefg, nothing but sounds; slovene azbuka - got permanent frame 7x7, АБВГДЕЕ( first 7 letters, horizontal reading) - Az* knows wisdom of Gods** on Earth and space and resend spiritual wealth accumulated in evident world, which is all existed and multiformed. * Az- maximum possible spiritual evolution of human in this world. ** God - human reached the level of the creation - higher dimension inhabitant. every letter got 50 different sense and 3 levels of reading depends on position - i a beginning, middle or end of word. Also 4 levels of readin. show above is second. Plus some letters have digital indication. digits are readable too- 1+2=3 - А+В=Г - Az + wisdom = entailment to thoughts - word is materialized thought. 7x7 matrix readable in horizontal, vertical and diagonal direction and have 28 semantic indication... want some more info? My main lang. is Russian(very close to slovene). I spend 4years to learn Slovene lang., and it looks like I got couple caps of water out of ocean. wisdom of this lang. is endless. using slovene I able to see real picture of occurring. now I know - bible is 80% lie made in 16-18 century, we have free endless energy all around us,but somebody want to make money on hydrocarbon and a lot more... This is in Russian, but don't be lazy- scroll down , look on pictures ant tell me - what is Russian "paganism" - religion or what ?

I was born Russian pagan(have no idea why people call it paganism).

Basically, any heretical practice was called that derogatorily for a thousand years. Those of us who decided to take back to the pre-Christian traditions of Europe decided to reclaim the term, to unite us into an umbrella community. We did that so we could all support each other because there's so few of us.

We then applied the label to Eastern European pre-Christian traditions out of habit, since there's Indo-European continuity between our cultures.

That's good. I more or less leave it up to individual groups to decide whether they want to use the term "Pagan" or not, and I don't use it to describe pre-Christian traditions; I just call them... pre-Christian traditions. :)
