You do not know the scripture which says, "you do not know what tomorrow will bring" James 4:14
I don't know what tomorrow will bring in this life, but I SURE DO KNOW what it will bring when I leave this life and begin my eternal life. I trust in the power of Jesus to do what He promised to do. I will live with Him always.

Eph 1:11-14 (ESVST) 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.
What about Judas? Did he live for nothing?
I think Ephesians is not so much a promise but is for needed confidence.

Good morning kmg. I believe;

John 3:16 (ESVST) 16 " For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

John 10:27-28 (ESVST) 27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

Act 4:11-12 (ESVST) 12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."

Act 16:30-31 (ESVST) " Sirs, what must I do to be saved?" 31 And they said, " Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.

So yes ma'am, I believe I am saved!
Amen!! Thank you dj. Those verses say it all.

The governing body members believe the same, I am sure. I am not living forever with them. I won't.

Hey dj, ever count the times IN CHRIST is repeated in Ephesians 1?

What does it mean to be IN CHRIST?

● Does Matthew 27:52, 53 mean that at the time of Jesus’ death some persons in the grave were resurrected?

Without wresting the Greek grammar, a translator can render Matthew 27:52, 53 in a way that suggests that a similar exposing of corpses resulted from the earthquake occurring at Jesus’ death. Thus the translation by Johannes Greber (1937) renders these verses: “Tombs were laid open, and many bodies of those buried there were tossed upright. In this posture they projected from the graves and were seen by many who passed by the place on their way back to the city.”—Compare the New World Translation.

Are they comparing the NWT with Johannes Grebers rendition of the New Testament?

Sounds like you have no faith in the power of Jesus to save you.
I have faith in the power of Jesus to save me. Will he? We see many people who believe in Jesus but won't let him save them. How do I know I am not like them? How do I know I won't be blinded as many are blind?

Is Judas saved?

I would think you could answer your own question. If you trust and obey, how can you doubt?

Why wouldn't Jesus save you? Do you think He lied? He promised salvation to those who believe. You believe!

I am shocked and saddened that you don't trust in His promises.

We are assured of our salvation. Read Hebrews 5:9 and Acts 5:32

Eph 1:8-9 (ESVST) 9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ

Eph 1:11-12 (ESVST) , 12 so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory.

Eph 1:19-20 (ESVST) 20 that he worked in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly places,

No one obeys 100% of the time. That's why we have the blood of Jesus. He makes up the difference where we fall short.

Sheesh! I never thought I'd have to convince you that you are saved.

Eph 1:3-4 (ESVST) 4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him.

Eph 1:6-8 (ESVST) 7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, 8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight

Eph 1:9-10 (ESVST) 10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

Eph 1:11 (ESVST) 11 In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will,

Eph 1:12-13 (ESVST) 13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit

Forgot one.
Take a moment to read Eph. Chapter 1. Underline how many times Paul uses the term IN CHRIST.

Then tell me what it means to be IN CHRIST.
