Is being gay a sin according to your religion?

Jesus in me
Well, I need to, sorry. The reason is that it seems plausible to me that whoever thinks that homosexuality is a choice is bisexual, at least partially.

The question, of course, is why God let some fight against lust for members of the same sex, while others have no interest whatsoever to engage in that, independently from it being a sin or not.

I don't believe there is any such thing as bi-sexuality. I believe there are those who seek pleasure sexually without paying attention to whether it is a good thing or not. For instance all people eat but some people gorge themselves until they are sick. (The sin of gluttony)

I believe God allows us to learn from our mistakes while working to bring us into harmony with Him. I believe most sin comes because there has been a deception at some time leading the person away from wholesomeness.

Assuming God exists at all. The only reason I can see for some gays fighting their sexuality is a fear of being victimised by bigots.
I only have one experience with this. Once when manning CBN's phone lines I had a call from a person wishing to leave Homosexuality. He did not explain why but he did seem to be sensitive to the religious issues.
However he did not appear to have hostility towards me as though I were victimizing him but was sincerely seeking help.

Is there such a thing as ambidextrous to you? It exists. Equal ability to use either hand, no clear dominance between sides, both being equal in strength and ability. Since that is determined in the brain, sort of a middle road between left and right handed when one has started to form dominance but was unable to complete before that side of the brain stopped forming so the other side picked up the rest of development, then why is it so hard for you to believe that the same thing is possible with sexuality? The brain determines whether one is homosexual or heterosexual, so why would there not be some who fall inbetween? There are. Your unwillingness to believe so does not change that.

In islam it is a sin. Allah created Adam and Eve to reproduce and populate the earth.
Muslims dealing with homosexual thoughs are recommended to control themselves and to not indulge in homosexual behavior.

I don't believe Adam and Eve were the first people on earth so the "go and multiply" applies to those first created and then I believe only in a general sense for the purpose of replenishing the earth.

In other words I don't believe it is a sin to not have children unless God has directly commanded someone to do so.

I believe they are still performing the natural order even if they are preventing conception but if the whole marriage is based on not having children it isn't really a marriage; it is a friendship pact. I believe the relationsip invaildates itself but I see no harm in it. Maybe some just get married for legitimate sex and maybe some because they don't know how to make a friendship pact but there is no sin in any kind of heterosexual relationship although there can be sinful practices within a heterosexual marriage.

So, from what I see here it appears you are saying that people should be having the type of sex that will result in children and that is what makes a "real" marriage. However, you are also saying that it doesn't matter if people have children or not. The idea that people can get married for "friendship" and choose not to have children seems to me to say it would be okay for homosexuals to do the same. I mean, if it doesn't really matter if people do or can have children then what does it matter? But you seem to think that what makes a marriage is the putting of a penis in a vagina regardless of outcome. I have to say, that is a very messed up way to view marriage. If marriage is nothing more than two people committing to put a penis into a vagina, I have to wonder why anyone would want to get married at all. What is the real purpose of it? "God granted blessing" on the vaginal intercourse? Really? Your god is so warped as to set up marriage as nothing more than a "I now say that your vaginal intercourse is allowed"? Oh, but don't do any other kind of physical love-making, that's a no-no. So according to this logic, people that have no love for each other at all and just want to screw, their marriages are "blessed", but two people that love each other with all their worth, because they don't partake in vaginal intercourse...nope, they can't commit to each other and anything they do to each other to show their love physically...bam!...Hell!

Yeah, your god is surely a warped one.

May I just remind you who it is you're playing chess with.

Belief and reality/fact are two different things.

I believe the fact that you believe God is warped reveals a lot about your moral condition.

I believe If a man and a woman are not going to have sex, I wouldn't call it a marriage but that does not mean that they could not have a covenant relationship. Homosexuals could have a covenant relationhip also but if there is sex involved it is sin.

I believe true love does not do perverted things.

I believe you are saying my God is warped because He doesn't approve of doing warped things. Talk about obverse reasoning.

Nah.... Cultures that tend to get sneered at as primitive also tend to be far less prude and sanctimonious. Fancy that....
I have been called a prude which I consider a compliment since it somes from the word prudent which means wise.

Because I can see how something is logically warped that says something about my morals? Yeah, I guess perhaps it does. It means my morals are so good that I can easily discern when something is right because it is fair and makes sense and something is wrong because it is unfair and logically fails.

You are the one who said that those who do not have children, and marry with friendship, can still get married. I merely turned around your very argument. See...the logic you used failed you didn't it? And if that is the logic you've gained from what you believe your god has decreed then it just shows that your god, if it were to exist, employs a warped logic that fails against reasoned argument. Such a god would be a silly god to follow. It takes mental gymnastics to follow such an illogical creature.

According to my religion, Robotology, no it is not a sin. Robosexuality however is a sin. The good book saith a robot shall not lie down with a human nor do it standing or any angle in between.
Ohhhh, I guess these people didn't read that book. How naughty!

I don't get disgusted by it, I just think it's sad these people can't find a real girlfriend/boyfriend.

But, if the robots are sentient, then who are you to judge they are not "real"? Are their emotions not worth considering? And those whom love the robots, why do you judge their love? Whom they can love? What gives you that right?
