Experiencing God

I too have had "spiritual" experiences that I just will not share with anyone. I gather that the telling of such experiences puts one at risk of throwing one's pearls to the swine.

What if you sharing this "spiritual experience" could cause someone else to be "saved?" Would you still withhold this information from them, knowing that it would cost their soul burning in a firey inferno for eternity?

If God desires me to share my experiences with others, I will share my experiences with others.

If I were talking to you, if I thought your question was sincere, which it is not, I might answer. But I have determined that you are not worthy of my response.

My question was sincere.

How can you know that it was the holly spirit and not the father or the son ?

Have you ever been burned by a fire that wasn't there?
Have you ever had a light shined on you, but there was no light?
Have you ever heard a sound that you doubted was a real sound?

I'm not talking about dreams.

I have felt as if I was being pierced by a thousand needles, and yet there were no needles. Does that count?

I don't believe there is any such thing as a holly spirit. Are you referring to the spirit of a holly tree? What exactly are you trying to discuss here?

Honestly, I think you should explain your experience in more detail. What led up to this experience of yours? What was your state of mind when you had this experience? Were you conscious?
When did you conclude there were no needles? What caused you to think there were needles in the first place? Please describe the entire experience from beginning to end. And I'll let you know if it counts.

Same way you do.

That is not always so easy.

The mind/imagination is tricky. The mind is designed to fool you, to obfuscate the truth.

Especially if you want to believe. A lot of people sincerely claiming to speak for God.

And that would be?

Can you tell the difference between something you imagine and something you've actually experienced.

We have to rely on our perception and the consistency of that perception. Certainly our perceptions can be fooled by an illusion. Still one has to, to the best of their ability determine the reality of what they experience.

How do you discern what is reality and not simply the mind fooling itself?

No, the mind is not designed to fool you. It is not designed to obfuscate the truth. It is designed to experience and to respond accordingly.

The Son is that which accomplishes God's will. He is the physical manifestation of God Himself.

What I understand, there is only God. Everything is a physical manifestation of God. God is omnipresent.

What I experience is that God is unknowable. What I experience is separation from the unknowable. I know the presence of the Holy Spirit. Yet the Holy Spirit is separate from me as you are separate from me. However the truth of the unknowable is that there is no separation.

I experience oneness and I experience separation.

The Word is a manifestation of the mind and the will of God. Everything you are, experience and know is a materialization of the Word.
