I am curious because I often times go through cycles of depression and in usual cases anxiety. I have just learned to accept it but it seems like something that never goes away.

I heard that staying away from the news is good for feeling good.
A little bit of pot does wonders, IME. Also, fish oils.

True. It's unavoidable. Yet facing and recognising episodes directly for what it is helps lessen some of the of the sting until it dissipates.I am curious because I often times go through cycles of depression and in usual cases anxiety. The usual culprits ... exercise, diet, sleep, good friends, keeping productive, association with positive people, honesty, affirmations, sense of humour,

Thats good advice, yet it goes beyond creature comforts at times, I think. Robin Williams comes to mind in light that he's viewed as someone extremely successful.I've never really had severe depression because I've always had whatever I desired. However, if I did feel stressed, I would listen to mantras and meditate.
