If God Tells You He's Sending You To Hell

The Sum of Awe

Brought to you by the moment that spacetime began.
Let's say, hypothetically, regardless of which God as long as you had a view on the afterlife that is applicable.

That your God tells you that you'll inevitably end up in hell. Would you still love him? (P.S. You are positive it isn't a test)

If so, what if he told you that AND told you that he wont do anything about it because freewill apparently has more value than people. Would you still?

No. He seems like an ***.

So now...what is "Hell", exactly?

Got a brochure, or a manual?

Are those billions upon billions of lights in the sky illusions, or Hell? Something else? I'm kinda tired of speculating...

Tell us all so we can plan accordingly, ok?

Otherwise, ****.

Thank you.

Lol, if you're going to hell, you obviously don't love God so this hypothetical doesn't make a bit of sense.

Ask 3 different people, get 3 different answers. I think, and many agree, it is basically a cop out that loving god is all you needed to redeem.

Where does the Bible does that? Post the verse(s). I've never heard this.

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’ Matthew 7:21-23

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Then another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, according to what they had done. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them, and they were judged, each one of them, according to what they had done. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:11-15

I don't think that any religion believes that God sends people to hell even if they love him. But I would not love a god that sends people to hell simply for not loving him.

Yes, and? That's talking about hypocrites, who didn't really love God. If you truly love God, you will do His will and put that love into action.

Who says that? Maybe a certain type of Protestant fundamentalist but the vast majority of Christians don't believe that.

I thought you were implying that.

Either someone who loves God can go to hell, or else your sins are forgiven simply by the love of the lord.

It starts with love and belief in God, but it's not supposed to end there. You're supposed to do things that flow from that. It calls for a radical transformation of your life.

Where does the Bible does that? Post the verse(s). I've never heard this.

Sure.
Have you ever worked on the Sabbath? Worn poly/cotton clothing? Are you a rich man?

All of those sins will likely send you to hell.

Also Deuteronomy 23, 1-2. Tells us that nobody who has lost their testicles or penis can enter heaven, nor can ten generations of their descendants.

Rev 21:8, Mark 10:25 , Romans 3:10 tells us that no one is fit for heaven. Romans 3:23. First Corinthians 6 9-11.

I'm a Christian, not an ancient Israelite so it's rather stupid to quote the Mosaic Law to me.

Now, when it comes to the verses talking about sinful we all are, you need to acquaint yourself with a concept called repentance.
